The Little Mermaid

By Hans Christian Anderson

The Little Mermaid was written by Hans Christian Anderson. Hans Christian Anderson was a
Danish author. Although a prolific writer of plays, travelogues, novels, and poems he is best
remembered for his literary fairy tales. The Little Mermaid movie was released on November 1989
under Walt Disney. The movie "The Little Mermaid" was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements.
The Little Mermaid is about Mermaid that fall in love with a prince and wants to be a human. Ariel is like
a cat that is curious in everything, but Ariel is curious specifically in humans.

One day Ariel save a prince in ship that is sinking and she fell in love with him. Because of the
love and curiosity she has towards the prince, Ariel wanted to become of human. She went to the sea
witch and wish to become a human in exchange of her voice, but she agreed anyway not minding the
consequences that she might face. In this movie/story show us that impulsive decision may lead us to a
bigger problem or big consequences.

The Broadway that they perform they only show a little scene in the movie and shows all the
main characters except the antagonist. The way they perform the little mermaid is so lively and detailed
in the song number. They show Ariel, the prince Flounder and Sebastian. The one that portrays
Sebastian did a great job in expressing his character properly and clearly. The Broadway that they
perform really resembles just like the movie.

The movie The Little Mermaid and the Broadway The Little Mermaid has Its own uniqueness.
The movie, “The Little Mermaid" has all the main characters the antagonist, and side characters and
much more show the meaning or lesson that the movie/story has. The Broadway "The Little Mermaid
only shows the musical or the one with the song scene because it is really hard for them to show all of
the scene because the scene are mostly in the ocean. So for them to able to perform, they only perform
that part, but still nailed it. And also the movie is a cartoon, not a real people. Both of the movie and the
Broadway are great and a good movie and performance. The little Mermaid teach us that being
impulsive, and hard headed can lead you to no good. And they teach us also that always be contented
on what you have in life.
