Practice 4

The line graph compares three companies in terms of their wastes from 2000 to
2015.
Generally, there were significant changes in amounts of waste produced by all
three companies. The amount of waste output of companies A and B went down
over the 15 year period, whereas the company C rose considerably.
As can be seen from the graph, company A was the biggest waste producer in
2000, approximately 12 tonnes, while companies B and C produced around 8
tonnes and 4 tonnes of wastes respectively. Over the following 5 years, company
A cut waste by round 3 tonnes and company B reduced its waste by about 10
tonnes. By contrast, company C saw an increase to 6 tonnes of waste production.
From 2005 to 2015, the amounts of waste of company C went up sharply by
over 9 tonnes, while companies A and B saw a decline of waste production by
roughly 8 tones and 3 tonnes respectively.
