How to use this Demo Asset
This Microsoft Cloud for FSI shared tenant demonstration experience leverages a real-time interaction of two
personas – A Customer and a Loan Officer.

The demonstration flow begins as a Customer through the Customer onboarding sample portal. Please utilize
the credentials referenced below.

Customer Onboarding Script

Customer Onboarding - Loan Application Talk Track:

Monica is a Woodgrove Bank customer who is


interested in purchasing a second home. She
opens up the Customer Onboarding Sample Portal
for Woodgrove Bank to see what the process will
be for applying for a loan.

Through the portal, Monica is able to easily kick off


the loan request process, fill out all the necessary
information, attach the proper documentation, and
submit for review.

Note: The Sample portal is purely an example of


how requests and documentation could be shared
to a common data model – such as the Retail
banking data model in Microsoft Dataverse and
then used within the Loan tracker application.

Steps:
Loan request wizard
1. Launch the Onboarding Portal
2. Sign in with customer’s credentials, for
example,
monicat@IndustryClouds.onmicrosoft.com
and password.
3. Click on Monica Thomson and select
Onboarding Wizard
4. Fill the details in each section [Note: Feel free
to enter the information in the below
mentioned section.]

5. Review the Summary section and Submit the
application.

Note: The Sample PowerApp Portal can also be utilized through


a mobile device.

Loan Tracker – Loan Application Talk Track:


Renee is a Loan Officer for Woodgrove Bank and
starts her day by reviewing the Loan tracker
application for new loans or updates to existing
loans. She notices that there is a new loan request
from Monica and decides to review it.

While making sure to thoroughly review each tab


of the application, Renee realizes that she will need
more information to process this loan request and
requests additional documentation from Monica.

Loan information Steps:


1. Launch the Loan Tracker app.
2. Sign in with Loan Representative’s
credentials, for example,
renee@IndustryClouds.onmicrosoft.com and
password.
3. Click on Loan Application 21158378 record.
4. Click on Application snapshot tab and
browse through Loan Information, Primary
Applicant, Loan Application Progress,
Declared Assets and Liabilities.

5. Click on Loan information tab and browse
through Loan Information.
6. Click on Parties’ information tab and
browse through Parties information along
with Employment details.
7. Click on Declared Assets and Liabilities tab
and browse through Parties assets and
Liabilities.
8. Click on Declared income and expenses tab
and browse through Parties income and
Declared assets and liabilities expenses.
9. Click on the Documents tab, click on
+Request new document, select Additional
documents type and click Add.

Outlook Talk Track:

Monica gets an email notification regarding her


loan application and sees that Renee has
requested additional documentation. She replies
to Renee’s email and attaches the requested
documentation.
Steps:

1. Launch the Outlook app.


2. Sign in with Monica Thomson’s credentials,
for example,
monicat@IndustryClouds.onmicrosoft.com
and password.
3. Click on Inbox and open the email with the
subject Woodgrove Bank: new document
request received from Renee.
4. Click on the Reply button.

5. Type the below message in the email

Microsoft Docs Thank you for the follow up. Please find attached
the requested document.

6. Attach the Monica Thomson’s Pay statement


(Note: Download the document from Teams)
7. Click on Send button.

Loan Tracker – Loan Application Talk Track:

With the additional documentation from Monica,


Renee is now able to move the loan to the next
stage in the process, underwriting.

Steps:

1. Launch the Loan Tracker app


2. Sign in with Loan Representative’s
credentials, for example,
renee@IndustryClouds.onmicrosoft.com and
password.

4. Click on the Documents tab.
(Note: Download the document from Teams)
5. Click on the Upload button in Additional
documents to upload a document.
6. Click on Review button to review the
Additional document under For review
section (Uploaded from the previous step).
7. Click on Accept to accept the document.
8. Click on Origination in the BPF bar and then
Next Stage. The loan application record will
move to Processing stage.
Click on Next Stage in the Processing stage
of BPF. The loan application record will move
to Underwriting stage.

Conclusion:

In today’s digitized world, banks are offering their


applicants the use of online channels to receive
information on their accounts and keep track of their
finances.

When applying for a loan, applicants usually reach out


to the bank via the official website or mobile
application as a first step to explore available options
and evaluate their fit. Tailoring the right loan quickly
and easily can make the difference between an
engaged customer and one who turns to another
lender. Allowing the applicant to start the loan
