What a day!! I was late for a school and we had a school trip to the zoo
(I forgot). They had to wait for me and Mrs Tarrant was angry. She gave me extra
homework- she used to be my favourite teacher.
The zoo was fun. We fed the monkeys and a cute baby m0nkey stole Joe’s ht. Ha1 Ha! ha! It
was awesome! But then we went to the snake house. Yuck! I HATE snake.

Later, I was watching TV when Mum shouted, “GEMMA,HOMEWORK!!”.

Arghhhhhh, we didn’t use to get so much homework. Tomorrow I can stay I bed because it’s

Read the following text and answer the questions.

On Saturday night, there was an emergency at the city zoo. A fire started in the zoo’s cafe. A
neighbour phone the fire brigade at 12 a’ clock when the fire alarm rang.

After ten minutes, a fire engine arrived. The animals were making strange noises when the
firefighters went into the zoo. It was dark because there wasn’t any electricity. The
firefighters were carrying torches.

They tried to stop the fire and the thick black smoke. They took water from the small lake in
front of the cafe. Suddenly, an elephant appeared. It started to take water from the lake with
its trunk and helped the firefighters. Doug MIller, a firefighter said, “It was amazing. The
elephant started to help us while we were working.it’s a hero!”

At 12.00 p.m. Fire Officer Mckenzie reported, “ The fire is out now. The kitchen is a mess
but all animals are safe”.
