TOPIC: CLUTCH SPRING CHANGE IN LH410 AND LH400T

TRANSMISSION (DANA MODEL R33425)

CONCERNS: SANDVIK LH410, LH410-M AND LH400T

The Owner of machinery has a liability to inform and when necessary to train according to the content of this Bulletin all the
personnel (like operators, maintenance personnel) whom this Bulletin concerns.

2nd and 3rd clutch spring change in LH410 and LH400T transmission

The 2 and 3 clutch spring in the LH410 and LH400T transmission has been changed. This change is
concerning the transmission model Dana R33425 that is utilized in Sandvik LH410, LH410-M and LH400T
loaders. The previous type of wave spring has been replaced by a new helical type of spring.

See difference on the Image 1 and 2 below.

This spring change can be implemented to 2 and 3 clutch on the existing transmissions while also
replacing the spring retainers at the same time.

The new spring and the new spring retainers are available through SMC logistics. These can be ordered by
using part numbers:
• BG00797613, Helical spring (1 piece / clutch)
• BG00797612, Spring retainer (1 piece / clutch)
• BG00797614, Spring retainer (1 piece / clutch)

SERVICE BULLETIN

Position of the spring and the spring retainers shown in Image 3.

Sandvik recommends using this new helical type of spring during transmission repair or overhaul instead of
the previous type of wave spring. The new spring improves reliability of the transmission, especially if the unit
is working in demanding operating conditions.

bulletin).

SERVICE BULLETIN

When this change was implemented for the new Sandvik LH410 and LH400T factory deliveries , the
transmission part numbers were replaced as follows:
• Sandvik LH410, transmission part number 56033253 is replaced by BG00788216
• Sandvik LH400T, transmission part number 56033254 is replaced by BG00789765
