General Requirements for Joining OMP


1. At least 18 years old and not above 60 years old.
2. Mature born-again believer for at least three years.
3. If married, should be married at least for 3 years.
4. Parental consent if under 18 years old.
5. Active member of a local church for at least two years.
6. Recommendation letter from Church Pastor.
7. Two Recommendation letter from another Christian leader, Missions Chairman or
Chairman of the Church Board. (forms will be given by us, so please provide current email
address)
8. Medical Form A filled in by applicant.
9. Medical Form B filled in duly signed by licensed medical doctor.
10. Certificate of participation of a short-term missions training and exposure
Program (at least one of the following):
: Short Term programs with OM Philippines
: Other OM-related Short-Term Programs /Missions exposure program
: CrossTrain- 1-3 months
: Asian Center for Missions- 6 months
: Great Commission Missionary Training Center-
: Other missions training program, subject to approval.
11. Psychological Evaluation and Personality Inventory Test (this should be conducted by our
recommended Psychologist)
12. Listening to George Verwer’s messages, ( OMP will send you the link or you can look on
you tube/google) reading of 5 missions books ( OMP will lend you the books)
13. Vaccinations required by the Receiving Field. OM Ships require the following
vaccinations: yellow fever, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, Hepatitis A & B, typhoid
and Meningitis A & C.
14. Monthly support as required by the OM Receiving Field. OM Philippines
requires at least three months support before departure as an indication of a positive financial
support or as required by receiving field.
For those joining OM Philippines
- Manila based P15,000/month
- Cebu based P 12,000/month
- Other provinces P10,000/month
15. List of financial supporters and amount pledged with their contact numbers or
email addresses.
16. List of at least 40 prayer supporters with their contact numbers and email
addresses.
17. Air travel expenses (round trip ticket) – only for missionaries going to the field
18. Annual Health and Travel Insurance which includes repatriation. Please note
that you will have to buy another insurance for the following year (if going
overseas).
19. Required to undergo a three (3) month OMP volunteer program with Php 3,000 support per
month. This is necessary before officially joining the ministry to the designated country. Upon
return, the missionary should stay in OM Philippines house for five (5) days for debriefing and
rest before He/she return to his/her family/home.
