Fortunately, I survived the first sem in college. There were many challenges, especially
the adjustments that I had to make, but aside from that, I was able to learn new things, meet
new friends, have new experiences, and create new memories. In other words, I am grateful for
the first new semester and for the new friend, classmates, and professors I have met during the
semester.

What helped me the most was Module 1: Three Movements in Transition because, as a
first-year student, there are many things that I have to adjust, making module 1 very useful to
me. Aside from that, the final summative assessment also helped me because it was a new
experience and opened my eyes to the current situation of the Bajau community in Matina
Aplaya.

As I stated in the first paragraph, the challenges I encountered during the first semester
were the adjustments I had to make. Also, I had difficulties managing my time because I tended
to procrastinate and was easily distracted.

The social issue I care about the most is waste management, especially in communities
like the Bajau community in Matina Aplaya. It's just sad to see communities like this suffer from
waste that is not theirs, and it seems like the government is not taking an action or helping them
solve the problem in their community. I hope the next ASF class will advocate for this and find
solutions to this problem or call the government's attention.
My Experience in ASF was a rollercoaster ride, and was I opening. ASF helped open my
eyes to different realities and instilled compassion in me. Had new learning experiences and
memories that I will cherish forever. ASF helped us become more creative, especially in thinking
of how to tackle or approach social problems currently existing.
