Final project : CREATE A JINGLE

What is a Jingle?
Short tunes - melodies which can be used
for a visual or an audio commercial.
You can include almost any information
in the content of a jingle, as long as this
attracts the audience –consumers.
First jingle dates back to 1905.
Jingles today, are a marketing tool for a
successful product.
The relationship between music and
memory is powerful. Original tunes are
no longer being used as background
music for ads today. A popular music
(song/ melody) is more often used for an
advertisement because it is easier for the
audience to remember.
Music activates emotions and is an
integral part of commercials. It is a
powerful way to advertise products.

HOW TO MAKE A JINGLE

Step 1 : Write a script
For a catchy jingle ,use simple words and
rhymes, easy for someone to sing or
mumble.
Words must be important and short.
Use simple phrases to make your jingle
memorable.
Choose a simple and light tone.

Step 2 : Creating a melody

 Compose an original tune
 Choose an existing ,popular melody
filling out the words with new lyrics.
 Pick the right genre that appeals to
your audience.
 Consumers within 40-50 age range
have different taste in music than
younger ones.

Step 3: Production
 Make a video presentation
 Use applications from your IPad or
any other device.
 Use an authentic instrument. For
example the piano, a guitar or a
keyboard synthesizer
 Record your background music and
perform live.
