Writing Part 2

Question: 4

Subject: touring holiday

Hi David,

I got your email about your friends visiting my area for a touring week, and they
would like to travel around and learn about my local area and its history. I have
some places that they should definitely visit if they want to know more about my
area's history.

The first place I would suggest them visiting would be Muzium Warisan Melayu
UPM. This museum is located in Fakulti Bahasa Moden dan Komunikasi UPM, so I’d
recommend them to go by car to get there since taking a coach would be unnecessary.
The museum opens at 10 am to 5 pm, and closes at Saturday and Sunday. The ticket
only costs RM5 which is extremely cheap and it also includes a guide. It’s a great
starting point to learn about the history of Malay culture and society. In the
museum, there's lots of artifacts there such as old weapons such as Keris, spears
and machetes that were used by warriors back then. There's also old manuscripts and
art that they can see there too. Outside the museum, there are lots of traditional
Malay wooden houses. The wooden houses look beautiful and the architecture is quite
mesmerizing too. I’d recommend your friends to visit this place first so that they
can understand our Malay history and culture a bit more.

The next place that they should visit is Batu Caves. Batu caves is located in
Gombak and is incredibly easy to get to. They can take the Komuters Train Laluan
Route straight to batu caves. Or Take can take a car or a taxi to get there. Either
option takes less than 30 minutes to get there.
