Cathy: Hi, Judy. Wow! Your house is beautiful!
Judy: Oh, thanks, Cathy. Let’s go to my room.
Cathy: OK. Oh, look! You’ve got a cat! What’s its
name?
Judy: That’s Mitzi. She isn’t my cat, she’s the
family’s cat. We’ve got a dog, too. His
name is Billy.
Cathy: Is this Billy in the photograph?
Judy: Yes, that’s our Billy. He’s a very clever
dog. He’s friendly, too.
Cathy: He looks friendly … but he’s very big.
Who is this boy – in the photograph with
you?
Judy: Who? Oh, that’s my brother, Andrew.
Cathy: He’s very good-looking. I love boys with
dark curly hair. Ooh, he’s got blue eyes,
too. And he’s tall! He looks strong and
athletic – like Marc Gasol!
Judy: Marc Gasol? Really? I think he looks like
Bart Simpson.
Cathy: Very funny! How old is Andrew?
Judy: He’s 16. He’s in Year 11.
Cathy: What’s he like? Is he nice? Is he friendly?
Judy: I don’t know – he’s my brother. And, he’s
got a girlfriend.
Cathy: Oh, I see.
Judy: Come on, Cathy. Let’s do our homework.
Then you can meet Eric.
Cathy: Eric?
Judy: Yeah. I’ve got two brothers. Eric is in Year
9. And he hasn’t got a girlfriend.
