John Quincy Adams said, "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and

become
more, you are a leader." Everyone's approach to leadership is different. How would you describe your
personal leadership style? What values do you consider the most important when leading others? How do
you inspire and influence others to get behind your vision?

Nowadays, we live in the 21st Century world where we have already explored the universe dating
back to 13 billion years ago. This can be said that this is the highest achievement of our ages so far. All
those achievements cannot be done without the single effort of one person. This is because of effort and
good leadership skills.

Earlier this year, I was teaching children English, who do not attend school for political reasons,
as a volunteer with the help of a local priest in Aung Lan parish. There were twenty-five children ranging
from eleven to over eighteen years old. It was tough and challenging for me as I was not their teacher or
leader. I had to take on all their responsibilities, from basic chores to teaching them. As for me, there is
always one thing on my mind: giving and sharing my knowledge as much as possible. As they were not
allowed to go outside because of some political crisis still happening in my country, I always spent most
of my time with them to avoid getting bored. So, I was their teacher during the day time and their friend
at night time. In addition, my leadership style can be different from others because my personalities like
friendly, funny and talkative emerge when I lead others.

When we consider a leader, the one need to have some core values such as wisdom- knowledge,
and power, which can distinguish what is right and what is wrong, humility- a true humbleness for every
situation that he or she is facing, sympathy- a kindness without discriminating white or black, and
respect- an admiration for every single fellowship. This is because countless leaders in this world rule
their respective countries or nations in good ways or bad ways. All of them might not have those values.
This is because looking at those facing starvation, the victims of wars, fleeing from their lands, and
leaving behind all of their houses and properties are examples of bad leaders. Those bad leaders are
selfish, eager to become war-like to be wealthy, egocentric, and desirous. That is why it is important to
consider morality when we talk about a leader's values.
Lastly, being a good leader is not good enough for everything. Influencing others to follow your
leadership is a good skill as well. It is not easy leading thousands of mouths, but the most important thing
is to be real. Having a great chance of showing them a true heart and kindness, showing them that you
care for every single one of them, is the only way to show your love and empathy. Sometimes a leader
must be strict about rules, and sometimes, a leader must reward good behaviors. Those are the ways that I
have been practicing for so long, and I will keep practicing them for the rest of my life.
I want to conclude that leading others is difficult, as you might get supporters and haters who do
not wish to follow your leadership style. But convincing those to follow your leadership and inspire them
to dream more is what a good leader can do.
