Swiggy
Swiggy is an Indian online food ordering and delivery platform. Founded in July 2014, Swiggy is based in
Bangalore and operates in 500 Indian cities as of September 2021. Besides food delivery, Swiggy also provides
on-demand grocery deliveries under the name Instamart , and a same-day package delivery service
called Swiggy Genie.
Swiggy has partnered with Burger King to provide delivery services. It has also partnered with Google Local
Guide to facilitate customer reviews, and with Sodexo to let customers pay through meal cards. Swiggy
launched a digital wallet, Swiggy Money, in partnership with ICICI Bank, an Indian private sector bank.In
January 2022, Swiggy and drone company ANRA Technologies began trialing drone deliveries.
Zomato
Zomato was founded as FoodieBay in 2008 by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah who worked for Bain &
Company. The website started as a restaurant listing and recommendation portal. They renamed the company
Zomato in 2010 as they were unsure if they would "just stick to food" and also to avoid a potential naming
conflict with eBay
Zomato started its food delivery service in India in 2015, initially partnering with companies such as Delhivery
and Grab to fulfill deliveries from restaurants that did not have its own delivery service. In April 2015, Zomato
acquired the American online table reservation platform NexTable, which was subsequently renamed as Zomato
Book.In January 2016, it launched Zomato Book's table reservation facility on its application in India. In April
2015, Zomato acquired cloud-based point of sale company MapleGraph Solutions, and in April 2016, it
launched its own Android point of sale system for restaurants called Zomato Base, which was built on MaplePO

REVIEW OF LITERATURE
1.Bhavya saini (2016) , “Consumer preference and attitude regarding online food products” the study emphasized that
using the internet in seeking food service information was a common practice among people living in india and online
interpersonal influence took a fundamental apart. A high percentage of consumers were unconcerned about accurate
evidence regarding food safety in selecting food products on the internet. The conclusion of our findings produces
practical pieces of advice to consumers buying online food, to food retailers selling food over the internet and to the
government of india to implement appropriate legislation regarding online food product information. Among all these
factors customers usually expect three website merits to assist their online encounters that are system quality, information
quality, and service quality.
2.Hong Lan (2016), “Online food delivery market is immature yet, there are some obvious problems that can be seen from
consumers” negative comments. In order to solve these problems, we can neither rely merely on the self discipline of
online food delivery restaurants nor the supervision and management of online food delivery platforms. Only by taking
laws as the criterion, with the joined efforts of the online food delivery platforms and restaurants, the government
departments concerned, consumers and all parties in the society, can these problems be solved and good online take away
environment can be created .

Findings
The main purpose of this part is to present a brief summary of findings and conclusions of this study and
thereafter to provide certain suggestions for overcoming the problems, being identified in this study relating to
customer satisfaction towards various services of the study Food delivery company . This Study is undertaken
with a broad objective of assessing the customer satisfaction services in Aurangabad district.
The educated customers may have more awareness and exposure on these aspects in general. Hence, the
comparative analysis may have its impact on perception of the services offered by the both of the
company
According to study most of the people from the age group . they are mostly active to order online food
delivery .
The most of the people mostly satisfied with zomato comparative than swiggy.
About Zomato, the same respondents say, "Swiggy is slower than zomato and they prefer COD which is,
honestly, a tad bit of a hassle. It is only good for online menu and not for deliver
Zomato takes one order at time while Swiggy takes 2 to 3 orders at a time resulting in delay of service.
Hence, Zomato is preferred.
Respondents also consider Zomato over Swiggy due to logistic reasons. Also, Swiggy has a relatively
higher tax and delivery charges.
So yes, Zomato looks beyond the food space, while Swiggy is all about food.
Conclusion
The research project has helped me understand where Aurangabad's food delivery industry is currently at and
what the consumers are preferring between the two leaders of the industry that is Swiggy and Zomato. No
doubt, Investors are currently rooting for Zomato as it competes with Swiggy and the same can be inferred from
the analysis of the consumers response to the survey floated.
Zomato on the other hand is continuously expanding and focusing only on the distribution and delivery aspect
and hence the consumer preference lies more towards Zomato.
