Reflection
In this lesson, I have learned how to make a writing outcome, assessment method
and the most desirable principle of assessment. Those three are related which
seemed to be process in achieving the effective learning for the students. The more
deeply I dig into the lesson the more I understand that it is really a learner centered
process where instructor consider the learners everytime.
Writing outcome is not something to take for granted, it is said that learning outcome
should be observable, students must be seen applying those give learning outcomes.
In that way the learning can be considered achieved. In that case instructor used
sample verbs in writing a learning outcomes to highly emphasize that at the end of
the lesson, they’ll have learned something as well they can apply their learnings.
To achieve such learnings, assessment method must picked wisely. Given that
assessment method can easily be determined as soon as the targeted objectives of the
lesson is given. If the given objective is in line of remembering which they are
expected to define, describe or label then in the process pick an assessment that will
assess the learning you picked given that you also have given specific criteria.
Lastly, desirable principle of assessment on the other hand is what makes assessment
fair, fact and effective, reliable and would bring up a positive outcome. This focuses
to the learners to learn fairly and with equality.

Reflection
In this lesson, I have learned the characteristics of outcome-based education and the
different outcomes.
I have learned that characteristics of outcome-based education focuses on the
learning of the learner which instructor adapt to every learner and use style that
would be fair to all. It is clear that while teaching they are focused on the outcome as
a motivation, every action is aimed to achieve the outcome and will not stop the
assessment until they achieved.
In terms of outcomes, there are two type of outcome. The immediate and deferred
outcome. Immediate outcome is where the outcome is expected right after the lesson.
While Deferred outcome on the other hand is the outcome which is acquired later on
after the competition. This only means that this two outcomes differentiate in terms
of time of acquiring the outcome. Also it shows that failing to learn now doesn’t mean
that you’ll not going to learn it anymore.
