UPGRADE TIER STATUS CAMPAIGN

Terms and Conditions

A. Duration

1. The Upgrade Tier Status Campaign (“Campaign”) is organised by Malaysia Airlines


Berhad (“MAB”) with Campaign Period running from Now (Malaysian time) to 31
January 2023 (11:59PM, Malaysian time) only.

B. Eligibility and Participation


1. This is an exclusive invitation offer only for eligible Enrich members (“Participants”)
who had qualified the criteria set for this campaign from 01 January 2022 but have yet
to meet the requalification requirement and, who has received the Upgrade Tier
Status Campaign Promotion via electronic direct mail (eDM) from Enrich, Malaysia
Airlines.

2. The following are NOT eligible to participate in this Campaign:


a. Enrich members who have met the requalification requirement.
b. Enrich members who are not the intended recipients of Upgrade Tier Status
Campaign Promotion electronic direct mail (eDM) from Enrich, Malaysia Airlines.
c. Enrich members who receive ‘forwarded’ email of Upgrade Tier Status Campaign
Promotion from eligible Enrich members.

3. The mechanics of the Campaign are as follows:


a. Enrich members must either meet the 2022 Elite tier qualification by 31 January
2023 or complete any one of the challenges below as per requirement stated in
the eDM by 31 January 2023:
i. Fly on Business Class or Economy Class on eligible pure Malaysia Airlines
operated flights, MASwings, Firefly or oneworld flights, subject to stipulated
specific requirement stated in the eDM: or
ii. Earn Enrich Points (Enrich Base Points only) from bank points conversion,
subject to stipulated specific requirement stated in the eDM: or
iii. Buy Enrich Points (Enrich Base Points only) via Enrich Online, subject to
stipulated specific requirement stated in the eDM.

I.Fly on Malaysia Airlines, MASwings, Firefly or oneworld flights

• Enrich member must book and purchase on qualifying revenue fare tickets and
complete the journey on pure Malaysia Airlines operated flights, MASwings, Firefly
or oneworld flights as per stipulated specific requirement stated in the eDM
within the travel period stated below to be eligible for this Upgrade Tier Status
Campaign Promotion:

Travel Period Will Apply From 1 January 2022 (12:00AM, Malaysian


time) until 31 January 2023 (11:59PM,
Malaysian time)
• All travels must be completed by 31 January 2023.
• Any flight activities made from 1 January 2022 will be accounted for this Upgrade
Tier Status campaign promotion. For example: If the Enrich member had earned
15 Elite Points up to 31 October 2022, the Enrich member only need to fly another
04 flight sectors on Business Class or 08 flight sectors on Economy Class by 31
January 2023 to be upgraded to the Enrich Silver status.
• The Campaign is NOT eligible for Enrich tier status upgrade if/for:
i. Award ticket(s) redeemed with full Points or Points + Cash.
ii. Travel date is booked after the Campaign Travel Period.
iii. Complimentary tickets, staff tickets, industrial discount tickets, prize winning
tickets, discounted fare tickets issued with no Enrich Points earn restrictions,
tickets paid by ATR (Air Travel Authority) or any form of tickets that does not
earn Enrich Points.
II. Earn Enrich Points (Enrich Base Points only) from bank points conversion
• Enrich Member must convert eligible bank debit/credit/charge card points to Enrich
Points by 31 January 2023.
• Any previous bank points conversion made from 1 January 2022 will be accounted
for this Upgrade Tier Status campaign promotion. For example: If the Enrich
Member had converted 20,000 Enrich Points (Enrich Base Points only, Enrich
Bonus Points is not included in this campaign) from bank points conversion, the
Enrich Member only needs to convert another 20,000 Enrich Points from bank
points by 31 January 2023 to be upgraded to the Enrich Silver status.
• Only Enrich Base Points will be eligible for every successful bank conversion
transacted and received into the Enrich Account within the Campaign period and
where, member must meet the stipulated specific requirement stated in the
eDM to be entitled for this Upgrade Tier Status promotion. Members are required
to refer to the eDM.
• Enrich Bonus Points awarded over and above the Enrich Base Points for every
successful eligible bank conversion transacted and received into an Enrich
Account via any Enrich Bank Conversion Campaign are not applicable for this
Upgrade Tier Status Campaign Promotion.
• The bank/financial institution card issuer's terms and conditions and programme
rules shall apply. Enrich Member must contact the respective credit/charge card
partner directly to request for the conversion of bank points to Enrich Points.  
• Enrich Points are credited to the Enrich Member's Account within two (02) weeks
from the date of the request of bank conversion from the respective bank/financial
institutions.   
• Should the Enrich Points be not credited into the Enrich Account within two (02)
weeks, the Enrich Member is to contact the respective bank/financial institution to
check on the transaction request.
• Enrich members will not be eligible for this Upgrade Tier Status if the conversion
of bank points to Enrich Points are
i. Not received into an Enrich account within the Campaign Period.
ii. Received after the Campaign period.
iii. If the bank fails to process the conversion within the Campaign Period and
the Enrich Points are not received within the Campaign Period.
iv. Received into an Enrich account and meet the stipulated specific
requirement but the total Points converted is inclusive of Enrich Bonus
Points.
v. If member did not meet the stipulated specific requirement for bank
conversion mentioned in the eDM to qualify for the Upgrade Tier Status
campaign.

III. Buy Enrich Points via Enrich Online


• Enrich Member must login to Enrich Online self-service portal at
https://enrich.malaysiaairlines.com/login to purchase Enrich Points by 31 January
2023.
• Any Buy Points activities made from 01 January 2022 will be accounted for this
Upgrade Tier Status campaign promotion. For example: If the Enrich Member had
purchased 10,000 Enrich Points, the Enrich Member only need to purchase
another 15,000 Enrich Points by 31 January 2023 to be upgraded to the Enrich
Silver status.
• The Enrich Points purchase must meet the stipulated specific requirement
stated in the eDM. Members are required to refer to the eDM.
• Only Enrich Base Points purchased will be eligible for this Upgrade Tier Status
Campaign.
• Any Enrich Bonus Points awarded over and above Enrich Base points via any
Enrich Buy Points Campaign are not applicable for this Upgrade Tier Status
Campaign Promotion
• Enrich Buy Points transacted late and received in to the Enrich account after the
Campaign Period will not be eligible for this Upgrade Tier Status campaign
promotion.
• Enrich Points purchase is based on a fixed rate and the transaction will by default
be processed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR).  Members are to refer to the eDM for
the minimum Enrich Buy Points purchase required to be eligible for this Upgrade
Tier Status campaign.
• Enrich Buy Points are valid for 03 years from the date of transaction and will expire
at the end of the equivalent month in which they were purchased.
• Upon successful transaction, the Enrich Points will be credited into the Enrich
Member’s account within 24 hours.

C. Tier Status

1. Upon meeting the challenges requirement within the Campaign Period, the qualified
tier status will be activated within two (02) weeks after Campaign Period ends; and the
Elite earned status under this Campaign is valid for 2022 Elite tier qualification only.
2. The membership term of an Elite Tier Status is the year in which the Enrich Member
qualifies plus the period between 1 January to 31 December of the following year.   
3. The Tier Status is subject to the following terms and conditions:
• The decision of MAB in respect to the Tier Status Upgrade is final, conclusive and
binding and no further appeal, enquiry and/or correspondence will be entertained.
• Enrich Member may check their updated tier status via Enrich Portal at
https://enrich.malaysiaairlines.com/login or Malaysia Airlines app within two (2)
weeks after Campaign Period ends or such other date as decided by MAB at its
absolute discretion.
• Should any dispute arise, the decision of MAB will be final.

D. General Terms

1. All transportation, accommodation, personal costs and/or any other costs and/or
related expenses that are incurred to participate in this Campaign are the sole
responsibility of the Participants.

2. MAB, at its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any Participant
and revoke or forfeit any Status Upgrade at any stage of the Campaign without prior
notice if:
(a) The Participant is not an eligible Participant;
(b) The Participant fails to fully comply with the Terms and Conditions stipulated
herein;
(c) The Participant breaches any of the Terms and Conditions or other rules and
regulations of the Campaign or violates any applicable laws or regulations;
(d) MAB has, at its sole discretion, any reason whatsoever to believe that such
Participant has attempted to undermine the operation of the Campaign in any
way whatsoever, including but not limited to fraud, cheating or deception.
(e) Enrich Members who hold more than one Enrich membership account.

3. MAB shall not be liable for any disruption during the Travel Period, whether due to
technical problems or otherwise, which is beyond its reasonable control. In the event
of any disruption, reasonable effort shall be used to remedy the disruption and resume
the Campaign on a fair and equitable basis to the entrants.
4. MAB’s decision on matters relating to the Campaign (including, but not limited to the
selection of the Participants) shall be final and absolute. No discussion,
correspondence, enquiry, appeal or challenge by any of the Participants in respect of
any decision of MAB shall be entertained.

5. MAB, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, employees, representatives, retailers,


distributors, dealers as well as its advertising, creative, media, digital, design and other
creative agencies of MAB, shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever
suffered (including but not limited to loss of opportunities and any indirect or
consequential losses) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with or
arising from participation in this Campaign.

6. The Terms and Conditions of the Campaign shall be construed, governed and
interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
7. All rights and privileges herein granted to MAB are irrevocable and not subjected to
rescission, restraint or injunction under any and all circumstances. Under no
circumstances shall the Participant have the right to injunctive relief or to restrain or
otherwise interfere with the organisation of the Contest, the production, distribution,
exhibition and/or exploitation of the Contest and/or any product based on and/or
derived from the Campaign.

8. MAB reserves the right at its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these
Terms and Conditions without any prior notice.

9. These Terms and Conditions will prevail over any inconsistent terms, conditions,
provisions or representations contained in any other promotional materials advertising
the Campaign.

10. The main language of the Terms and Conditions shall be the English language. Any
translation to any other language than English shall be for convenience only. Should
there be any discrepancies between the English Terms & Conditions and the
translated version, the English Terms & Conditions shall prevail.

11. By virtue of an entry to the Campaign, the Participants signify their absolute and
unconditional acceptance and agreement to all the Terms and Conditions stipulated
herein.

12. MAB reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Campaign without any prior
notice. For the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, termination or suspension by
MAB of the Campaign shall not entitle the Participants to any claim or compensation
against MAB, its agents and employees for any and all losses or damages suffered or
incurred by the Participants as a direct or an indirect result of the act of cancellation,
termination or suspension thereof.

13. MAB will not be held responsible for any typographical errors or misprint under these
Terms and Conditions.
