LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE 8

I. Objective: At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:


a. Learn digestive functions of the organs of the digestive system
b. Identify diseases and its effect on the digestive system
c. Understand the importance of digestion by performing varied
activities.

 Motivation (Elicit): Students will perform the word magnet activity.

IV. Lesson Proper:

 Engage: Students will be divided into groups; each group will perform the
activity called “Color Me”. After the activity, the following questions will
be asked:
1. What do you think the one you colored?
2. How do you know it is?

 Explore: Students will be divided as a group; each group will be given


pictures and manila paper. Using pictures they will trace the process of
digestion by posting each picture on the manila paper from start to end.

 Explain: After the activity, each group will present their output and will
have one representative to report their explanation on the activity given.

The teacher will also ask questions based on the activity given. Clarifications
on the topic will be in a form of question.

 Elaborate: The teacher will discuss about some common diseases of the
digestive system.
 Extend: Students will be asked by this question:
1. By learning about digestive system, how can we apply our knowledge
in the category of diet?

 Evaluate: The teacher will give a 5 items multiple choice test.
