Capstone Progress Post (Jan 10, 2023)

The plan for the first week of January was to finish the good draft capstone proposal and start
working on making my capstone product by creating rough blueprint of the product that I am
going to make. I prioritized working on the good draft capstone proposal in order to neatly
shape what I am going to work on. Working on the good draft proposal took quite a long time,
because I tried to write in detail about the core competencies and I also had a hard time
picturing the steps in my head and write them down. Because I had to be efficient in working on
the project since I am short in time, I tried build up the steps that would produce the most
efficiency. While working on the good draft proposal, I worked on the very first steps of my
project in order to be efficient. I measured, draw a straight line on the t-shirt, then cut it into
body and strip pieces and took detailed photos that would be attached on the blog. Then I
created a blog, then uploaded the photo with brief explanation.

It was quite hard for me to manage my time between different academic courses that I had to
work on and also the university application. However, unlike my concern, because I had passion
on this project, I could finish off other academic courses’ works with great concentration and
saved some time. During the spare time that I made, I worked on the capstone project. This
have made me feel proud of myself and was kind of surprised how my passion was so strong it
made me work hard on every courses.

The core skill that I would have earned would be the time management. Through working on
the project, I learned that for me, it requires passion for my own time management. I used to
fail on managing the time, and reflecting back on, I could see myself not having any passion or
interest on the work that I had to do. However, right now I have great passion on the capstone
project, and it have motivated me to efficiently manage the time and complete other
assignments without any anxiety or concerns.
