Prof. Dr. Emil Salim (born in Lahat, South Sumatra, June 8, 1930; age 85 years) is an
Indonesian economist, scholar, teacher, and politician. Emil is also one of the few Indonesian figures
who plays an international role. He is an international environmental figure who has received The
Leader for the Living Planet Award from the World Wide Fund (WWF), the largest and most
experienced independent conservation organization in the world.[1] He was also the recipient of the
Blue Planet Prize in 2006 from The Asahi Glass Foundation. Previously, in 1994, after completing his
position as State Minister of Environment and Population

-Albert Arnold Gore

Albert Arnold Gore born March 31, 1948 is an American politician and environmentalist
who served as the 45th vice president of the United States from 1993 to 2001.Gore was Bill Clinton’s
running mate for vice president in their successful campaign in 1992 and the pair were re-elected in
1996.After his term as vice president ended in 2001, Gore has remained prominent as a writer and
environmental activist.His profession as a climate change activist earned him (together with the
IPCC) the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.Gore has received a number of awards including the Nobel
Peace Prize (shared award with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, 2007).Then a
Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album (2009) for his book An Inconvenient Truth, a
Primetime Emmy Award for Current TV (2007).
