Attending this event was very beneficial as I got insights into what a future
career in IT looks like in terms of different IT roles, job descriptions, work
pressure, working environment, work colleagues and what to expect and do
in my first role as an IT professional. The presentation also focused on writing
a winning CV, job search strategies and interview tips to secure the perfect
role and company. I understand that it is very important to be proactive and
be able to take an initiative in a role and understand what my role requires of
me and be able to communicate clearly with the team and my manager or
leader.
I found the section of this conference on video games very intriguing where
speaker Pablo Cristobal Farias Navarro spoke about video games and how the
technical skills to build these games are in huge demand. He elaborated on
the main key areas of how to develop a game, the technical skills involved,
prototypes, game design document and so on and how these crucial skills can
be applied in other tech industries such as programming, cloud computing,
UX, and project management.

demand of those skills in other IT industries,
This event was very informative as I learnt the technical skills that go into
game building and its mechanics. I was able to apply those concepts during
my internship as I was developing educational games for students as part of a
project. Moreover, I learnt useful tips about how to write an award-winning
CV, tips on job searching and strategies to nail job interviews.
