I. Introduction
Safety protocol is a set of rules that spell out the proper behavior and procedures

to follow in formal situations. A protocol is a set of rules for formatting and

processing data in networking. Computer protocols are similar to a common

language. Although the software and hardware used by the computers in a network

may differ greatly, protocols allow them to communicate with one another. (Health

and safety guide by University of Waterloo) According to the University of Waterloo,

The health and safety guidance is designed to help the University of Waterloo

community prepare for a return to in-person activities while reducing the dangers

connected with the COVID-19 pandemic. The principles in this paper are based on

suggestions from federal, provincial, and local public health authorities, as well as

best practices from related industry groups, the Occupational Health and Safety Act

of Ontario, and other relevant legislation. To reduce the possibility of the virus

spreading, it is critical that we all adhere to these rules.

In this research, the researcher would like to know if the residents of Barangay

Santo Cristo, San Jose, Batangas are aware or knowledgeable regarding the

advantages of following the safety protocols provided against the Covid-19

pandemic. This issue must be addressed since, in today's world, many have become

hardheaded, believing that they would be secure even if they do not follow the

following guidelines and protocols. This issue has become one of the reasons why the

virus continues to spread throughout the community.

The researcher is in the process of learning about people's viewpoints on the

community and will most likely develop deep reasons for why they think the way

they do.

II. Statement of the Problem

Poor knowledge and awareness about the global pandemic and the safety protocols

against it is one of the main issues of the community. This study aims to determine

the significance of the safety protocols and guidelines the health of everyone in the

community. More specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions:

1. How does gender and age influence the knowledge regarding the importance of

the safety protocols?

a. Wearing of Face Mask

b. Sanitizing

c. Social Distancing

d. How does Safety Protocols benefit the health of the people?

V. Data Presentation

This section will discuss the results of the tallied report and the corresponding

interpretation thereof. This section of the report contains the information received

from the ten residents of Barangay Santo Cristo who participated in the study as

responders. It also includes data analysis and interpretation that has been organized in

accordance with the research topic outlined in part 2 of this study.

A. General Information
Table 1: Gender of the Respondents

Gender Frequency Percent

Male 4 40%

Female 6 60%

Total 10 100%

Table 1 displays the demographic profile of the respondents when they are

classified by gender. It shows that 40% of the population is male and 60% is female.

When you add them all up, you get 100 percent.

Table 2: Perception on Safety and Protocols

Table 2 shows how many inhabitants in Barangay Santo Cristo value the safety

practices offered by officials in the event of a global pandemic. All of the respondents

firmly agree that they use a face mask when they go out, change their mask regularly,

sanitize themselves, and practice social distancing. This just indicates that they are

aware of the advantages/benefits that these protocols give.

Table 2 depicts a resident's perspective on health and the environment, which was

tabulated and computed using the following criteria: Question classification, mean,

and interpretation. It shows the cumulative report on the community's execution of

the aforementioned programs is displayed. To begin with, the execution of specific

environmental protection and conservation programs by the local government, such

as tree planting, garbage segregation, and a no-plastic campaign, had the highest

mean and was judged to be executed to a very high extent by the inhabitants. This

outcome is quite likely because there are specialized initiatives in. They also have

public garbage cans to encourage correct waste separation. As a result, these

scheduled programs focused for environmental conservation were clearly apparent,

allowing citizens to detect them to a large extent.

Other initiatives, such as self-care education, healthcare access and aid for the

elderly, maternal and childhood healthcare services, other health and hygiene

educational programs, and air quality monitoring, have also been well received by the

locals.

Nonetheless, the researcher would like to recommend that the safety standards

must be maintained, strengthened, reinforced and should be given a chance to be

supported until the cases are completely gone. In this case, everybody will be safe and

protected against the original or the variant virus
