A global health crisis. (Writing and speaking task)
What do you know about it? Look for information and Answer these questions

1. What is Covid 19?

COVID-19 is the most recently discovered infectious disease caused by the coronavirus. He was
unknown before the outbreak broke out in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.
2. Why is it called coronavirus?
It is called coronavirus because it has spikes that protrude from its membranes, which resemble a
corona
3. What are the symptoms and behavior? What will happen to older people when they have gotten the
disease from the virus?
The main symptoms of the virus coronavirus include:
 Respiratory symptoms (similar to those of a cold)
 Fever (high temperature)
 Dry cough
 Shortness of breath or tiredness
 Breathing difficulties

Older adults are at higher risk of requiring hospitalization or dying if diagnosed with COVID-19. As
you get older, your risk of being hospitalized for COVID-19 increases.
 hospitalization

when I have contact with something or someone and If I buy something outside when I get home I
disinfect and sanitize it.

importance of being at home during the
time this virus remains active in our
country.

TEXTO DEL VIDEO:

Covid 19 is a new disease that mainly affects the
respiratory system that causes serious respiratory
problems and even death. The main symptoms
are fever, cough and difficulty breathing, the best
way to prevent it is with hand washing, avoid
touching, avoid contact and cover mouth / nose.

Let us remember that today there is already a

vaccine for the coronavirus and that the risk is
low, however it is a virus which has killed
thousands of people around the world and has
left other people with sequelae, therefore, it is
very important follow the recommendations of
doctors and the world health organization, and
follow biosecurity recommendations.

The importance of staying at home while the virus

is still active is essential, because this way we
protect ourselves and other people, since staying
at home reduces the risk of catching and
spreading the virus, this way we avoid a
dangerous increase in the number of infected
people and this way we can ensure an effective
treatment for those who are already sick.

Because if we leave our homes unconsciously and

without biosafety measures, we are increasing
the cases of coronavirus contagion and by doing
that, the number of people in hospitals and clinics
increases and our health system does not have
the capacity to serve everyone Therefore, the
number of deaths from virus would also increase,
that is the importance of being at home during
this pandemic.
