Reflection

“We are foreigners of in own country”-Constantino.

“In inviting foreign speakers, are they all whites? So your administration has a problem
with racism.”

“We are naturally racists not against others but against ourselves.” “the bleaching
syndrome”.

Above are some quotable quotes mentioned from the discussion of Dr. Palces. It is
quite intriguing that we the Filipinos in the Philippines act foreign in our own country.
Racism’s definition for me was realized differently too. We usually thought that racism
occurs against other race but Filipinos nonetheless our racists against themselves. I
thought that we are finished with colonial mentality but with the rise of Kpop lovers
indeed its runs in our blood.

Theories of alienation differ significantly, but they frequently: first, identify a subset of
these problematic separations as being particularly important; second, include an
account (sometimes implicit) of what makes the relevant separations problematic; and
third, make some explanatory claims about the extent of, and prognosis for, alienation,
as understood.

Gender biased is the first type of alienation so to speak so the rise of Feminism is
inevitable. This is not only present in politics but in every area even in the educational
system.

Indeed alienation is still a problem even after ages of fights against it. However, as
educators if we learn to promote the opposite we will help erase the pain that it inflicts
not only to individuals but even among groups especially the marginalized ones.
