Characterization and or Setting Profile Poster Project


50 points
Groups will choose from the following characters & or the setting and create a profile poster.
Read the directions for the specific character or setting. The task is to showcase your
understanding of characterization and the significance of setting and events taking place during
the American Revolutionary War. Group members write their names on the back of the poster,
name, date, and period (top right/left hand corner. Groups will present their poster.

Characters Directions

Select a character to analyze. That includes

War. Include the following:
● Title ie. (British Soldier/Rebel) & flag
● Draw a picture of the soldier
● Uniform worn
● Weapons carried/used
● Qualities of soldiers according to the
army’s code of conduct
● Actions/ words/ thoughts of soldier

Setting Directions

7. Colonial America- Revolutionary War You will describe Colonial America during the
1775-1784 Revolutionary War. Include the following:
● Title ie..(Colonial America……)
● Draw the landscape of the town-
Redding-CT/ Verplanck-NY
● Draw scenes of what life would look
like during war; ie..daily life, battles,
conflicts, etc.
● Culture- religion, daily life
