Learning-Teaching Methods
Presentation, Grammar-Translation and The Silent Way will be utilized.
Teaching Activities
*** For the first period of the lesson, Grammar-Translation Method will be used to introduce key concepts that the
students might not be familiar with.
*** As the students get more comfortable with the material, we will switch to The Silent Way and start making use of
presentations and the flags we have prepared beforehand. The reason for not beginning with The Silent Way right
from the start is that this method requires active participation. At the very beginning of the lesson, the students might
not be ready to contribute; that is why we ease them into the subject first.

Group Learning Activities ---

Summary
Students will learn about new vocabulary used to greet people, contracted forms of auxiliary verbs and about jobs,
countries and nationalities.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
The first section of the lesson will be a lecture; students will listen and contribute when asked. When the students feel
comfortable enough, the second phase of the lesson will begin, which is where the students take the reins, while we
only give basic directions. The lecture part will be extended if the students do not feel ready to contribute.
