*** Students will find specific information in a simple text about jobs/nationalities/countries.
*** Students will recognize familiar names, words and very basic phrases in simple texts such as postcards,
greeting cards and emails.
*** Students will write simple sentences and phrases (a postcard, an e-mail or a hotel registration form).

Learning-Teaching Methods
Tutorial and Grammar-Translation Method will be utilized.
Teaching Activities
*** Unlike the other lessons, only a modified version of grammar-translation method will me utilized since
this portion of the unit focuses more on reading and writing. Every half-hour, the students will be asked
whether or not they have understood everything and are able to follow the lecture.

Summary
Students will identify specific information about jobs, nationalities and countries in a simple text, recognize
words and phrases in simple texts such as postcards and e-mails and write simple sentences in the form of an
e-mail, a postcard or a hotel registration form.

Measurement & Evaluation

All-in-One Written Examination (reading, writing, listening) and Speaking Examination (one-on-one interview
with the teacher) will be utilized to measure and evaluate the students’ performances.

Explanation regarding to the implementation of the plan
The entire lesson will be a lecture since our objectives are focused on reading and writing. Students will write
postcards and emails to their friends. The mistakes in grammar and vocabulary usage will be corrected as
the students are working on the writing.
