CONTEST MECHANICS

 Radio Broadcasting (Category B, Gr.10-12)

Mechanics:
 The team shall consist of seven (7) members consisting of Anchor/s, News
Presenters, and Technical Operator.
 The broadcast must utilize the Filipino language.
 Each team shall prepare the following:
ü Station ID (to be performed live)
ü Opening Bill Board (OBB) (to be performed live)
ü Local/National News
ü International News
ü Sports News
ü Entertainment News
ü Infommercial/Advertisement (ad should promote “Reading”)

 The broadcast shall follow the ff. sequence:

1. Station ID
2. OBB
3. Greetings/Opening Spiel
4. Headlines
5. News Items
6. Infommercial/Advertisement
7. News Items
8. Closing Spiel

 Each team shall provide their own music for sound effects
 Each team shall be given five (5) minutes for the actual broadcast.
 The order of presentation will be identified through drawing of lots during the
contest proper.
 Individual awards include Best Anchor and Best News Presenter while Group
Awards include Best in Technical Application, Best Infommercial, Best Script and
Best Radio News Program
