SPELLING BEE

MECHANICS:

1. All students can join the Spelling Bee.

2. There will be three levels in the Spelling Bee namely the easy, average, and difficult rounds.
There will be FIVE words per round.
3. Each word in the easy round is equal to two points; average round, three points; and
difficult round, five points consecutively.
4. The contestants have 10 seconds to answer each word in the easy round, 20 seconds for the
5. average round, and 30 seconds for the difficult round.
6. The teacher will say the word twice, and the students must write the word after the “go” signal.
7. The contestants have 10 seconds to answer each word in the easy round, 15 seconds for
the average round, and 25 seconds for the difficult round.
8. Erasures and superimpositions are strictly NOT allowed. An answer with erasure and
superimposition will be automatically considered WRONG.
9. In case of a tie, the students will proceed to the clincher round to determine the winner for the
place that they will be competing for. The word in the clincher round is equal to 5 points.
10. A student who has the highest point at the end of the difficult round will be determined
CHAMPION.
