Practice Task 3:
The students will perform the Fundamental positions in Philippine Folk Dance with the music “Bahay
Kubo”.

The teacher will tell the class that the “Bahay Kubo” is a song of different vegetables; these are
healthy foods that they can plant in their yards. It is also a song that accompanied with rondalla music,
were in the folk playing bands of stringed-instruments. (Integration of lesson to Health and Music
lesson)

concepts ● HONESTY and INTEGRITY- Being honest to the person you love is like dancing between two
bamboos (Tinikling Dance); the one who is dishonest will be caught and trapped by the bamboos. So,
each person must be honest and careful in loving someone. Same as being honest in assessing
his/her self in achieving personal fitness.

The teacher will explain that the Tinikling is the official national dance of the Philippines.
Characterized by the movements of one or more dancers between two bamboo poles while these are
beaten in a certain rhythm against each other and onto the ground. an indigenous folk dance whose
origin lies on the island of Leyte. The name refers to a bird that is known in the Philippines as Tikling,
a term that is commonly used for a whole range of Squacco species. 
Performance Task:
1. The students will watch a tinikling Video to learn the dance.
2. The students will perform the Tinikling dance.
3. The students will rate his/her own performance.
Generalizing and The students will answer the question:

By answering these questions, the teacher will also connect the students' answers to summarize the
lesson.

The students will rate their selves by answering the question “Yes/No”

0-1 yes- poor. Better do it again next time.
2-3 yes- Good! Need more practice.
4-5 yes- Very good!
