A. Scenario 1- Holding Charity Auctions in the Office

Based on the given scenario, the most appropriate ethical decision that can be
applied to Angela’s situation are the Market Ethics Model, The Professional Ethics
Model and Doctrine of the Mean Model.

The Market Ethics Model. Angela wants to profit from these albums and wants to
collaborate with the bank manager. Both parties will clearly benefit from each other,
but if it doesn't succeed, it will be a huge loss for both of them, making it a gamble
either it will be a profit or a loss.

The Professional Ethics Model. Since the other bank workers, Roland, Joven,
and Janeth, showed their support for the charity auction and persuaded Justin to
provide permission showing the approval of a broad cross section of professional
peers"

Doctrine of the mean Model. In this scenario, they should allow a charity auction
to take place in the office because the profits will benefit a child of one of their
employees who requires financial assistance to live. I don't see any problems in this
situation since life is important and we must protect it. I believe Angela's co-workers
will understand the situation.

B. Scenario 2- Misleading for Good Purpose

The Disparity between the belief and behavior in Vince’s situation are Self-
interest and self-protection, Conflicting Values and Tangible or Intangible, Immediate
or Deferred.

Self-interest and self-protection. Most people do something against human

nature by putting the other people's needs ahead of their own. Yet, this is exactly
what one must do in order to deal ethically with coworkers and the general
population. Disobeying our boss is sometimes necessary, but only in moderation,
especially in an ethical situation. Having integrity is very important because it reflects
a person's ability to display honesty and strong moral principles. People with integrity
can be counted on to do the right things the right way, complete tasks totally and
completely, and finish work on time in an overall quality environment. Vince must do
what he believes is right in order to maintain his integrity in life.

Conflicting Values. Vince believes in ethical values, yet he is faced with a

situation in which his beliefs appear to conflict. This value conflict is caused by an
incompatible system, whether seen or actual. He is in a position where he wants to
do the right thing and disobey his boss, but he also believes that his leader is correct
and that it will benefit the police station. To overcome this value conflict, he must
gather both portions of his thinking and combine them into a single congruent
thought that values what is truly important.
Tangible or Intangible, Immediate or Deferred. In Vince's scenario, he can tell
that his boss wants the instant impact of fixing the building to be prioritized. To do
this, he must destroy the remaining pieces of the structure that remain after the
storm, which is unethical because it involves deceiving and lying to government
officials. Vince is deciding to make the right decision and not make a fake out of his
office, but he also recognizes the positives and drawbacks of what may happen, and
that it will be a lot better workplace than expected. People like Vince can be trusted
since he chose to disobey his supervisor. Its not like an everyday decision to make
and it will come also with consequences. That makes Vince a good person who will
abide by the rules.
