Essay about the story of Hansel and Gretel

"Hansel and Gretel" is not a real story. It is a fairy tale that was recorded by the Brothers Grimm
in 1812. Hansel and Gretel is a war novel wrote by Louise Murphy. The characters are hansel, the main
character of the fairy tale. Gretel, The main heroine of the fairy tale. Witch, she lived in a candy house.
Father, He is hardworking and fights for his family. And lastly the step-mother, another example of an
evil woman who does something that not even imaginable today.

 Exposition

The main characters of "Hansel and Gretel" are two children, Hansel and Gretel, who are hated by their
stepmother. She persuades their father to leave them. They are taken to the middle of the forest to be
abandoned, but they have overheard their stepmother's plan and leave a pebble trail to find their way
home.

 Rising Action

When they are abandoned for the second time, they drop breadcrumbs which the birds eat. Hansel and
Gretel become lost. They arrive across a candy-filled mansion. They are thrilled and hungry, and they
begin to eat. The house's owner, an elderly lady, asks them to stay.

 Climax

Once inside, the old lady admits that she is a witch. She shuts the door behind them. She brainwashes
Gretel and fattens Hansel for food. Gretel must clean and cook around the witch's house in order to
prepare Hansel for the witch. When the witch says Hansel is ready, she tells Gretel to turn on the oven.
Gretel complains because it's not warming up, so the witch leans into the oven. Gretel shoves her
forward.

 Falling Action

The witch catches fire. Hansel and Gretel attack the mansion in search of the witch's hidden jewels. They
pack them inside their clothes and choose their way through the forest till they make their way home.

 Resolution

When they arrive home, their father is overjoyed to see them. He has really missed them. Their
stepmother passed away while they were away. He warmly welcomes them back, and they live happily
ever after on the witch's wealth.

Theme

The story of Hansel and Gretel is about more than two children who fall victim to an evil witch.
The plot delves into themes such as family life and marriage, the children's journey into maturity, and
greed. The leaders do not set a positive example for the children to follow.
Application in real life and to self

The lesson illustrates clearly that life is more valuable than one realizes. It is brief and valuable,
and one should make the most of it. Life is full of unexpected experiences, which should be treasured
every day. There will be disappointments, failures, setbacks, hindrances, interruptions, difficulties,
limitations, and difficult situations to deal with, but life is full of ups and downs. Rather of repenting, one
should keep battling with an optimistic mindset. Lastly, the most important lesson of all is not to trust
strangers, even if they treat you well.
