INSTRUCTION:

Form a 10-member group and make a documentation of how to generate a game idea by selecting at least three of
the starting points on how to generate. Follow the given format below:
Hockey Puckey
STARTING POINT FOR GAME DESIGN DISCUSSION OF YOUR GAME IDEA (3 to 5 sentences)
1) The concept of the game comes from the tabletop game called
Fastrack, where the main objective is to pass all the player's pucks
• Start with an existing, proven (Hockey balls) to the opponent's side and the one who puts all their
design, then make modifications to pucks to the opponent's board first wins the game. For improving,
improve on it. we make digital version of it entitled “Hockey Puckey”, where the
player can play solo (Player vs. System) or with another player
• Start with the core “aesthetics”. (Player vs. Player). The game starts with the main menu in which
the user can choose what kind of opponent they want (with another
player or with the system). Like the original version of it, the board

game is divided into two parts (the player side and the opponent's
side) while the middle of the board has a barricade with a small hole
in the center where the players will pass their pucks to transfer to
the opponent's side. Each player has five (5) pucks (Hockey balls)
and slingshot in their side that they can use to strike and transfer
the pucks in each other board simultaneously.

Monkey Go Run!
2) This game idea is inspired on vector, geometry dash, subway
surfers, and some of chase, run, and jump platform games, our game
idea title is “Monkey go run!”, a 2D/3D platform obstacle game, with
• Start with an existing, proven some intense challenges such as traps, the beast chasing you,
design, then make modifications to intense parkours, and power ups. Before playing, a player must
improve on it. select first the difficulty – Easy, Normal, Hard, or Expert; Next is the
character selection, there are five different monkeys to select but
• Start with a rule or system. only one of them is available – the Chimpanzee, to unlock the
unavailable monkeys, you need to collect banana points to unlock
them all; lastly, to complete all the maps and levels, you must finish
• Start with the core “aesthetics”. twenty levels to unlock and proceed to the next maps and finish the
game, but the player must beat the intense obstacles and challenges
and have fun playing. We designed the platform on which the player
and the Beast must chase and run and put some traps and power
ups in those platforms and some ropes for player and the beast to
grab and swing. While the player is running, he has some option
whether to jump, slide, or grab a rope, the traps can slow down the
player, but the beast will not be affected by the traps. The power ups
help the player speed up their run and escape the chasing beast, and
we also put Hearts on the platforms, which restores player’s health
and survive, and we also put stuns on the platform for the players to
use in slowing down the Beast, which they can throw and use it at
the beast, so the player will get a chance to outrun the beast and
reach the goal.

The World of Talisman

3) This game idea is an action-adventure, role-playing game (one of the
topmost popular game genres), and a story-driven game which
story is adapted from the Filipino comic book “Pedro Penduko”
• Start with the market research. depicting the Filipino culture and supernatural beliefs. Which the
player is the main character (Pedro Penduko) and is the important
• Start with narrative. part of the game – which was introduced and sent to the world of
mythical creatures for a special mission accompanied by his special
helpers (Good Engkantos). He was given a talisman (The Mutya) to
• Start with the core “aesthetics”. possess superpowers that he can use to overcome obstacles and
challenges fighting against evil creatures in his quest to save his
father – which was kidnapped by the Dalaketnons (Bad Engkantos)
as his father was the best folk healer (albularyo) in their town – the
challenges and obstacles will be difficult as he gets close in saving
his father from the Dalaketnons. Our desired experiences and
emotions for the players are Challenge, Fantasy, Narrative, and
Discovery, as we first identify the core aesthetics of our game idea.
