➢ Pronouns to refer to possession and ‘belonging’. There are two types:


✓ Possessive determiner: my, your, his, her, its, our, their. We use them before a noun.
✓ Possessive pronouns: mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs. we use them in place of a
noun.
✓ Example: Is that your scarf? It’s very similar to mine. It was my fault not yours.

➢ Personal pronouns are used in place of noun phrases, we use them to refer to people and
things that we have already identified. And are used to show person and number
