General House Rules

1. No Smoking, no vaping, no drugs. Smoking is allowed outside


the front door.
2. No pets allowed.
3. No sleepovers unless it is an emergency. Family members are
allowed only and up to 3 days maximum.
4. Respect quiet time from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
5. Clean as you go in common areas such as the living room,
kitchen especially the kitchen sink, and toilet/cr. Do not spit or
brush your teeth in the kitchen sink.
6. General cleaning is scheduled weekly.
7. Sharing space in the refrigerator is provisionary. Please store
your leftovers in sealed container before storing them inside
the refrigerator. Make sure to only occupy space allotted. No
storing of ice cubes because freezer is defrosted every 3 days.
8. Note: Saturday is the dump day. Let’s ensure we don’t have a
skunky fridge with forgotten food in there. Leftovers can be
stored in the fridge but if they are there at the end of the day
on Saturday, they will be tossed.
9. Please inform in advance if you will not be able to come home.
10. If you will have visitors over, refer to rules #1-5.
11. Please secure your own internet access.
12. Please declare what electrical appliances you will bring. Your share in the electric bill will be
computed according your appliances’ wattage and hourly usage.
13. No laundry allowed due to lack of space.
14. Don't leave your dirty dishes in the sink. Refer to rule #5.
15. Please provide your own cookware and tableware. If you need to borrow cookware, please handle
with care. LPG bill is split/halved. Please inform in case we run out of LPG.
16. Please secure your own drinking water.
17. For any clarifications, please inform me so that we can set up time to discuss your inquiries.
Kitchen Sink Reminders

1. Wash all dishes that you use, but do not leave them lying in the sink.
2. Do not spit or brush your teeth in the kitchen sink. Use the sink for washing and not for spiting
blobs of nasty phlegm and saliva.
3. If you use a sponge or dish towel, please rinse it out before putting it away.
4. Sponges are to be used only for dishes. Use washcloths or paper towels to clean other stuff.
5. Throw away or recycle any wrappers, containers, peelings etc. that you no longer want.
6. Do not leave leftovers on counter tops. Please label and put away anything you wish to keep in
pantry/refrigerator.
7. Label everything. To avoid having your stuff taken or used inappropriately, label and date it and
put it away.
8. Respect other people’s labeled foods.
9. Anything that is left out unlabeled will be considered to be common property, and may be
consumed or thrown away.
10. If you intentionally wish to leave something in the kitchen to share something with others,
please write “Share” on it and date it.
11. If you see wastage like leaking faucet, broken toilet flush etc. please notify me.
12. Read and follow all signs in the kitchen.
Restroom Reminders

1. Never leave the restroom dirty. Smelly toilets are big turn offs. Disinfect and deodorize after
using.
2. Please ensure that the restroom’s door is 100% close all the time.
Note: The restroom’s front door is facing the kitchen and kitchen sink which symbolizes
provisions. According to Feng Shui restroom is a place of waste and you don’t want your
provisions to be sucked. Likewise, scientifically speaking the air inside the restroom is
contaminated with microbes, molds and mildew. Opening the restroom’s door will only
contaminate the dishes and utensils which is unsanitary.
3. Females should always sit on the toilet seat while peeing. Male should always stand a little close
to the toilet seat to avoid dripping.
4. Never forget to use flush once you are done.
5. Make it a point to wash your hand with an antiseptic soap or sanitizer every time you use the
restroom.
6. Do not spit on walls or floor. Use the toilet bowl and then flush it instead.
7. Don’t take much time inside the restroom if it’s not necessary.
8. Make sure you do not throw anything in the commode. Tissue paper must be thrown inside the
dustbin and not anywhere else. Sanitary napkins must be wrapped in polybags and disposed in
dustbins.
9. Do not leave the restroom with faucet on. It is important to conserve water.
10. One should not smoke inside the office toilet. It leads to suffocation.
11. Do not forget to switch off the lights when you leave the restroom.
12. Do not throw unwanted hair or soap wrappers in the washbasin.
13. Share the responsibility in maintaining the restroom by following your cleaning schedule.
