(5) What is economic nationalism according to Sen. Claro M. Recto?

- He thinks that only economic nationalism would help us find fundamental and
long-lasting answers to our issues with widespread poverty, unemployment,
underproduction, etc. This refers to taking control of the Philippines' resources so that
they can be used exclusively for the benefit of Filipinos

(5) Discuss "Filipino First Policy".


-It refers to a policy first introduced and implemented by the administration of
then-President Carlos P. Garcia of the Philippines. The policy prioritizes Filipino-owned
businesses over their foreign counterparts, and it also empowers Filipinos to buy
Filipino-made products.

(3) Enumerate the 3 pillars of Philippine Foreign Policy.


1. Preservation and enhancement of national security
- Maintain public safety, law and order, and social justice while adhering to the
constitutionally mandated principles of democracy, the rule of law, and respect for
human rights.

2. Promotion and attainment of economic security


- When a country's economy is stable and predictable, people can plan and invest
for their own and their children's futures.

3. Protection of the rights and promotion of the welfare and interest of Filipinos
overseas.
-Assure the rights of overseas Filipino migrant workers are protected, advance their
welfare, and help them with any issues emerging.

(10) Give you understanding of "THE MYTH OF THE FREE WORLD".

- We like to think of ourselves as citizens of the free world, so it can be challenging


for us to accept that another country's political system can differ from ours and still be
just as valid; that a people's economic, political, and cultural life is determined by its own
needs; and that one cannot simply impose a certain way of life upon a nation because
every country has its own unique characteristics. By closely following America, we have
given up the sovereign initiative that belongs to a sovereign state. We have always
operated under the presumption that America's interests are inherently aligned with
ours, and vice versa, that any assistance provided by them must be paid back in some
way so that they can take advantage.

(5) Briefly discuss BANGSAMORO BASIC LAW (BBL)


-Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), and officially designated as Republic Act No. 11054,
is a Philippine law that provided for the establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous
Region in Muslim Mindanao it adheres to the idea that the nation disregards using war
as a tool of national policy, accepts universally recognized international legal norms as
part of domestic law, and pursues a foreign policy of peace, equality, justice, freedom,
collaboration, and amity with all peoples.

(3) What was the main reason of Pres. Marcos Sr. of declaring Martial Law?

-The newly established Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and the sectarian
"rebellion" of the Mindanao Independence Movement, according to Marcos, were the
reasons for his action (MIM). Yet another factor contributed to his prior strategy..

(3) Do you consider EDSA Revolution a success? Elaborate your answer.

- When the so-called bloodless revolution known as the EDSA People Power
Revolution erupted the Philippines received worldwide acclaim. This part of Philippine
history gives us a strong sense of pride, especially since other nations have attempted
to emulate what we have shown the world of the true power of democracy that removed
the dictator from power, which is why it succeeded in my opinion.
