Translation:

Say three times: Peace unto you, ministering angels, messengers of the Most
High, of the supreme King of kings, the Holy One, blessed be He.

Say three times: May your coming be in peace angels of peace, messengers of
the Most High, of the supreme King of kings, the Holy one, blessed be He.

Say three times: Bless me with peace, angels of peace, messengers of the Most
High, of the supreme King of kings, the Holy one, blessed be He.

Say three times: May your departure be in peace, angels of peace, messengers
of the Most High, of the supreme King of kings, the Holy one, blessed be He.

For He will instruct His angels in your behalf, to guard you in all your ways. The
Lord will guard your going and your coming from now and for all time.

Mipri yadeha, Vi’yhaleluha bashearim maseha
Translation:

A woman of valor, who can find? Far beyond pearls is her value. Her husband's
heart trusts in her and he shall lack no fortune

She repays his good, but never his harm, all the days of her life. She seeks out
wool and linen, and her hands work willingly

She is like a merchant's ships; from afar she brings her sustenance She rises
while it is still nighttime, and gives food to her household and a ration to her
maids

She considers a field and buys it; from the fruit of her handiwork she plants a
vineyard. She girds her loins with might and strengthens her arms

She senses that her enterprise is good, so her lamp is not extinguished at night.
She puts her hand to the distaff, and her palms support the spindle

She spreads out her palm to the poor and extends her hands to the destitute.
She fears not snow for her household, for her entire household is clothed with
scarlet wool

Bedspreads she makes herself; linen and purple wool are her clothing. Well-
known at the gates is her husband as he sits with the elders of the land
Garments she makes and sells, and she delivers a belt to the peddler. Strength
and splendor are her clothing, and smilingly she awaits her last day

She opens her mouth with Wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her
tongue. She anticipates the needs of her household, and the bread of idleness,
she does not eat

Her children rise and celebrate her; and her husband, he praises her: "Many
daughters have attained valor, but you have surpassed them all."

False is grace, and vain is beauty; a G-d-fearing woman, she should be praised.

Give her the fruit of her hands, and she will be praised at the gates by her very
own deeds.
The Evening Kiddush
Transliteration:

Yom Ha-shi-shi.
Va-y'chu-lu Ha-sha-ma-yim v'ha-a-retz, v'chowl ts'va-am.
va-y'chal e-lo-him ba-yom ha-sh'vi-i, m'lach-to a-sher a-sa
va-yish-bot ba-yom ha-sh'vi-i, mi-kolm'lach-to a-sher a-sa.
va-y'va-rech e-lo-him et yom ha-sh'vi-i, va-y'ka-deish o-to
ki vo sha-vat mi-kol m'lach-to a-sher ba-ra e-lo-him la-a-sot.

Sav-ri ma-ra-nan!

Translation:

The sixth day. And the heavens and the earth and all their complements were
finished.
And G-d finished by the Seventh Day His work which He had done, and He
rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.

And G-d blessed the seventh day and made it holy, for on it He rested from all
His work, which G-d had created to do.

Attention Gentlemen! Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the world, who
creates the fruit of vine.

Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, king of the world, who made us holy with His
commandments and favored us, and gave us His holy Shabbat, in love and
favor, to be our heritage, as a reminder of the Creation. It is the first of the
holy festivals, commemorating the exodus from Egypt.

For You have chosen us and sanctified us from among all the nations, and with
love and goodwill given us Your holy Shabbat as a heritage.

Blessed are You, Lord, who sanctifies Shabbat.

Transliteration:

Halo neimo rozin umilin dignizin d'leiseihon mis-chazin t'mirin uch'vishin.

Is-atoras kaloh b'razin dil-eila b'go hai hilula d'irin kadishin.

Translation:

I will cut away [the forces of evil] with songs of praise, in order to enter the
holy gates of Chakal Tapuchin.

We herewith invite her [the Shechinah ] to the festive table, with the beautiful
candelabrum shining on our heads.

Between right and left the Bride approaches, adorned in ornaments, jewels
and robes.

Her husband embraces her; through this gathering which brings her joy, the
[forces of evil]will be utterly crushed.
They cry and despair, yet they are made null and void; but the faces [of Israel]
are renewed, souls and spirits too.

[The Shabbat soul] brings her great joy, double in measure, bestowing upon
her light and abundant blessing.

Bridesmen, go forth and make preparations of delicacies of many kinds, fish as


well as fowl.

It is to form new souls and spirits, [to fathom] the thirty-two paths [of wisdom]
and the three branches [of Scripture].

She has seventy crowns; the supernal King becomes crowned with most sacred
[songs of praise].

[The Shabbat] is engraved and inscribed within all worlds [which were brought
forth by] the “Ancient of Days” through combining [the four pristine elements].

May it be His will that His presence rest upon His people who will delight for
the sake of His Name in sweet things and honey.

I place to the south the mystical candelabrum; I set in the north the table with
the loaves.

With wine in the goblet and boughs of myrtle for the Bride and Groom, to
invigorate the weak.

We fashion for them crowns from precious words; seventy crowns which
transcend the fifty [Gates].

May the Shechinah be surrounded by the six loaves on each side [of the table];
and may they correspond to the two sets of six loaves and the other articles [of
the Bet Hamikdash ].

The impure powers who are far from holiness, the angels of destruction who
oppress [man] and all those confined [in Purgatory] rest and have respite [on
Shabbat].

To slice the challah, the size of an olive or of an egg, [interpreting] the two
yuds either according to its simple or phonetic reading.
Olives [have within them] pure oil which when pressed in a millstone flow in a
stream; so the bread contains within it divine secrets. Let us discuss secrets of
Torah, which are not revealed, hidden and concealed.

May the Bride be crowned with supernal mysteries at this joyous feast of the
holy angels.

The Grace After Meals I


Transliteration:

Shir hama-alos beshuv Ado-n-oy


es shivas tzion, hayinu k’cholmim.
Az yimaleh s'chok pinu,
u’lshoneinu rinah. Az yomru
vagoyim, higdil Ado-noy
la’asos im eileh.

Higdil Ado-noy la’asos imanu,


hayinu simechim. Shuvah Ado-noy
es shevisenu ka’afikim bangev.
Hazorim bedimah berinah yiktzoru.
Haloch yelech u’vacho,
noseh meshech hazara,
bo yavo berinah noseh alumosav.

Translation:

A song of ascents. When the L-rd will return the exiles of Zion, we will have
been like dreamers. Then our mouth will be filled with laughter, and our
tongue with songs of joy; then will they say among the nations, “The L-rd has
done great things for these.”

The L-rd has done great things for us; we were joyful. L-rd, return our exiles as
streams to arid soil. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He
goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed; he will surely return with songs
of joy, carrying his sheaves.
The Grace After Meals II
Transliteration:

Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai, E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech Ha-o-lam,


Ha-zan et ha-o-lam ku-lo, b'tu-vo,
b'chein b'che-sed uv-ra-cha-mim,
hu no-tein le-chem l'chol ba-sar, ki l'o-lam chas-do.

Uv-tu-vo ha-ga-dol, ta-mid lo cha-sar la-nu,


v'al yech-sar la-nu, ma-zon l'o-lam va-ed.
Ba-a-vur sh'mo ha-ga-dol, ki hu Eil zan um-far-neis la-kol,
u-mei-tiv la-kol, u-mei-chin ma-zon
l'chol b'ri-yo-tav a-sher ba-ra.

Ka-a-mur: Po-tei-ach et ya-de-cha, u-mas-bi-a l'chol chai ra-tson.


Ba-ruch a-tah A-do-nai, ha-zan et ha-kol.

Translation:

Blessed are You L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who, in His goodness,
provides sustenance for the entire world with grace, with kindness, and with
mercy.

He gives food to all flesh, for His kindness is everlasting. Through His great
goodness to us continuously we do not lack [food], and may we never lack
food, for the sake of His great Name. For He, benevolent G-d, provides
nourishment and sustenance for all, does good to all, and prepares food for all
His creatures whom He has created.

As it is said: You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
Blessed are You, L-rd, who provides food for all.

Translation:

We offer thanks to You, L-rd our G-d, for having given as a heritage to our
ancestors a precious, good and spacious land.

For having brought us out, L-rd our G-d, from the land of Egypt,
and redeemed us from the house of bondage; for Your covenant which You
have sealed in our flesh; for Your Torah which You have taught us; for Your
statutes which You have made known to us; for the life, favor, and kindness
which You have graciously bestowed upon us; and for the food we eat with
which You constantly nourish and sustain us every day, at all times, and at
every hour.

Ba-ruch ha-ge-ver a-sher yiv-tach ba-do-nai,
v'ha-yah A-do-nai miv-ta-cho.

Translation:

For all this, L-rd our G-d, we give thanks to You and bless You. May Your Name
be blessed by the mouth of every living being, constantly and forever, as it is
written: When you have eaten and are satiated, you shall bless the L-rd your G-
d for the good land which He has given you. Blessed are You, L-rd, for the land
and for the sustenance.

Have mercy, L-rd our G-d, upon Israel Your people, upon Jerusalem Your city,
upon Zion the abode of Your glory, upon the kingship of the house of David
Your anointed, and upon the great and holy House over which Your Name was
proclaimed. Our G-d, our Father, On weekdays: tend us, On Shabbat and
festivals: our Shepherd, nourish us, sustain us, feed us, and provide us with
plenty; and speedily, L-rd our G-d, grant us relief from all our afflictions. L-rd
our G-d, please do not make us dependent upon the gifts of mortal men nor
upon their loans, but only upon Your full, open, holy, and generous hand, that
we may never be shamed or disgraced.

On Shabbat insert:

May it please You, L-rd our G-d, to strengthen us through Your mitzvot, and
through the mitzvah of the Seventh Day, this great and holy Shabbat. For this
day is great and holy before You, to refrain from work and to rest thereon with
love, in accordance with the commandment of Your will. In Your good will, L-rd
our G-d, bestow upon us tranquility, that there shall be no distress, sadness, or
sorrow on the day of our rest. L-rd our G-d, let us see the consolation of Zion
Your city, and the rebuilding of Jerusalem Your holy city, for You are the
Master of deliverance and the Master of consolation.

Remember us on this [day], L-rd our G-d, for good (Amen); be mindful of us on
this [day] for blessing (Amen); help us on this [day] for good life (Amen). With
the promise of deliverance and compassion, spare us and be gracious to us,
and have mercy upon us and deliver us, for our eyes are directed to You; for
You, G-d, are a gracious and merciful King.
And rebuild Jerusalem the holy city speedily in our days. Blessed are You, L-rd,
who in His mercy rebuilds Jerusalem. Amen.

our King, our Strength, our Creator, our Redeemer, our Maker, our Holy One,
the Holy One of Jacob, our Shepherd, the Shepherd of Israel, the King who is
good and does good to all, each and every day. He has done good for us, He
does good for us, and He will do good for us; He has bestowed, He bestows,
and He will forever bestow upon us grace, kindness, and mercy; relief,
salvation and success; blessing and deliverance; consolation, livelihood and
sustenance; compassion, life, peace, and all goodness; and may He never cause
us to lack any good. May the Merciful One reign over us forever and ever. May
the Merciful One be blessed in heaven and on earth. May the Merciful One be
praised for all generations, and pride Himself in us forever and to all eternity,
and glorify Himself in us forever and ever. May the Merciful One provide our
livelihood with honor.

May the Merciful One break the yoke of exile from our neck, and may He lead
us upright to our land. May the Merciful One send abundant blessing into this
house and upon this table at which we have eaten. May the Merciful One send
us Elijah the prophet—may he be remembered for good—and let him bring us
good tidings, deliverance, and consolation. May the Merciful One bless my
father, my teacher, the master of this house, and my mother, my teacher, the
mistress of this house; them, their household, their children, and all that is
theirs; us, and all that is ours. Just as He blessed our forefathers, Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob, “in all things,” “by all things,” with “all things,” so may He
bless all of us together (the children of the Covenant) with a perfect blessing,
and let us say, Amen.

From heaven, may there be invoked upon him and upon us such merit as will
bring enduring peace. May we receive blessing from the L-rd and kindness
from G-d our deliverer, and may we find grace and good understanding in the
eyes of G-d and man.

On Shabbat insert:

May the Merciful One let us inherit that day which will be all Shabbat and rest
for life everlasting.
May the Merciful One grant us the privilege of reaching the days of the
Mashiach and the life of the World to Come. He is a tower of deliverance to His
king, and bestows kindness upon His anointed, to David and his descendants
forever. He who makes peace in His heavens, may He make peace for us and
for all Israel; and say, Amen.

Fear the L-rd, you His holy ones, for those who fear Him suffer no want. Young
lions are in need and go hungry, but those who seek the L-rd shall not lack any
good. Give thanks to the L-rd for He is good, for His kindness is everlasting. You
open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. Blessed is the man
who trusts in the L-rd, and the L-rd will be his security.

The Afternoon Kiddush

Al kein beirach Ado-noy es yom


ha-Shabbos va-yekadisheihu.

Ado-noy, Elo-he-inu melech
ha-olam, borei peri hagafen.

Translation:

Therefore G-d blessed Shabbat and made it holy. With the permission of the
distinguished people present: Blessed are you G-d, King of the Universe,
Creator of the fruit of the vine.

Translation:

I shall offer praise at the Shabbat morning meal, and shall herewith invite the
holy Ancient One.

May the supernal light shine thereon through the great Kiddush and good wine
that gladdens the soul.

May He send to us its resplendence and we shall behold its glory; may He
reveal to us His hidden things which are said in secret.

May He disclose to us the reason for the twelve breads which symbolize a
letter of His name both in the combined and the single form.

May we be united with the Supreme One in Whom is the life of all things; may
our strength be increased and may (our prayer) ascend and become (a diadem)
upon His head.

Field laborers (Torah scholars), rejoice with speech and voice, and speak the
words (of Torah) which are sweet as honey.

Before the Master of the worlds you will reveal words in the secrets (of the
Torah), and deliver new insights (in it);

To adorn the table with the precious secrets (of the Torah), profound and
hidden, which are ordinarily not to be revealed.

And these words will become firmaments. Who will abide therein? None other
than the (Shechina which is allegorically called the) sun.

He will ascend to a more lofty level; and He will take to Himself His mate
(Israel) from whom He was separated (during the week).

B'nei Heicholo
Transliteration:

B’nei Heicholo, d’ch’sifin, l’mechezei ziv di-z’ir anpin.


Y’hon hacha, b’hai taka,
d’vei malka b’gilufin.

Tz’vu lachada, b’hai va-ada, b’go irin v’chol gadfin. Chadu hashta, b’hai shata,
d’vei ra-ava v’leis za-afin.

Krivu li, chazu cheili, d’leis dinin diskifin. L’var natlin, v’la alin, hanei kalbin
dachatzifin.

V’ha azmin, atik yomin, l’mitzcha adei y’hon chalfin. R’u dilei, d’galei lei,
l’vatala b’chol klifin.

Y’shavei lon, b’nokveihon, vitamrun b’go cheifin. Arei hashta, b’minchasa,


b’chedvasa di-z’ir anpin.

Translation:

You princes of the palace, who yearn to behold the splendor of Z'eir Anpin: Be
present at this meal at which the King leaves His imprint.

Exult, rejoice in this gathering together with the angels and all supernal beings;
Rejoice now, at this most propitious time, when there is no sadness.

Draw near to Me, behold My strength, for there are no harsh judgments.

They are cast out, they may not enter, these [forces of evil which are likened
to] insolent dogs.

I herewith invite the "Ancient of Days" at this auspicious time, and [the powers
of impurity] will be utterly removed.
It is His revealed will to annul all the powers of impurity; He will hurl them into
their abysses and they will hide in the clefts of the rocks.
For this time of Minchah is a time of joy for Z'eir Anpin

Havdallah
Translation:

Indeed, G-d is my deliverance; I am confident and shall not fear, for G-d the
Lord is my strength and song, and He has been a help to me. You shall draw
water with joy from the wellsprings of deliverance. Deliverance is the Lord’s;
may Your blessing be upon Your people forever. The Lord of hosts is with us
the G-d of Jacob is our everlasting stronghold. Lord of hosts, happy is the man
who trusts in You. Lord deliver us; may the King answer us on the day we call.

All those listening to Havdalah say "For the … with us" followed by the leader.

For the Jews there was light and joy, gladness and honor—so let it be with us.
I will raise the cup of deliverance and invoke the Name of the Lord.

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who creates the fruit of
the vine.

Blessed are You, L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who creates various kinds
of spices.

Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the universe, who creates the lights of
fire.

Blessed are You, L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who makes a distinction
between sacred and profane, between light and darkness, between Israel and
the nations, between the Seventh Day and the six work days. Blessed are You
L-rd, who makes a distinction between sacred and profane.
