Uganda” Commentary

Samples or Test Subjects are the core instrumentation for a people centric researches to see

their perceptions, ideas, thought processes and concreteness of principles that hugely foresee the

views of one selected area. This ensures consistency, coherence and validity on the current

phenomena one situation faces. However, samples or tests subjects requires considerations. For

Heale and Twycross (2015), one major consideration needs to be addressed is the balance of

reliability and consistency of researches which can be very challenging for a lot of thought

processes and Ethical Considerations are needed to be applied. Manzano (2014) in her lectures in

Methodology and Research strongly argues this as a danger zone for data fragmentations. Taking

into a consideration a research that strongly requires a specific sample that “Perfectly” matches to

the situation. Although the paper follows the technicalities of its written ideas does not totally

mean the paper itself gives full resolution to the said problem for as much as possible, Future

Researches should always polish instead of giving insufficiencies and incompatibilities on the

given solution to the problem. As a matter of fact, the 2 specific papers being pointed out in

Manzano’s statement, “Career Development: The Role of Career Counsellor towards Job

Counselling and The Effects of Group Sand play on the Psychological Health and Resilience of
Street Children and Adolescents in Uganda” are concrete examples of this said paper whereas

”Self-Talk and Thought Stopping Group Counseling Effectiveness To Reduce Academic Anxiety In

Students With The Broken Home Family” exposes a different angle by which it gives a concrete

example of the execution of the paper’s structure and coherence.

Taking into consideration the first part of Career Development: The Role of Career

Counsellor towards Job Counselling’s Results and Discussion, one major observation of the critic

lies within the selection of samples.

The result of the preliminary study indicates that 11 out of 32 Guidance and
counseling teachers (34.38%) have medium level of comprehension on the
basic theory of counseling skill and 21 teachers have (65.63%) have low level of
comprehension on the basic theory of counseling skill. Therefore, the average score
in the comprehension on the theory which was achieved in majority is in the
category of low level (1). (Asrowi, Hanif and Setiawan, 2021)

The concerning factor that preliminary results of implicating a guidance technique is

surprisingly low on the selected samples stated on the results. The Problem is not the results for

technically speaking, the paper has no issues on the write ups; The issue arises is the samples

themselves. Dupitas (2021) in his lectures on Human Resource Management hugely emphasizes

the recruitment process highly observes critical details of applicants to determine their strengths

and weaknesses to validate its effectiveness on one’s company where if one is not suited for the

Interestingly, data showing low results on counseling pretests of their knowledgeable ideas in

counseling is extremely questionable in a Human Resource Perspective. The critic doubts the

integrity of the paper in sense of reliability because the critic hugely suggests that this paper

requires demographics as basis of their situation. This prevents professional integrity among

individuals and the same time companies to distinguish the coherence of the data results. As a
matter of fact, this can also observe 3 things. 1. If the institution lacks qualified guidance

counselors in that said situation, 2. If the curriculum of their learning process affects its essence or

3. If the counselors have dual roles. Either way, this opens up many loopholes that clearly validates

to the results. It somehow opens validity issues on the selected samples as real results may show

medium to somehow high parameter of knowledgeable ideas on those said Counseling theories or

better specify the title that will suite the selected respondents that mitigates confusion and clarifies

authentic clearness to the paper.

Similarly, The Effects of Group Sand play on the Psychological Health and Resilience of

Street Children and Adolescents in Uganda suffers from the same issue as well. Although the

paper is flawless and resolves the issue. The paper would be better for adults instead of street

children. Some readers might think that street children are perfect for this situation. Glen (1996)

in his book Ethics describes how moral norms are from through the essence of what it called

“Historicity” where it is simply defining to the present of one individual varies to the past

experiences one encounters. Result wise, Sand Play researches coheres to children per se already

as multiple resources from Google Scholar and YouTube form famous Psychologists like Dr. Inna

and more have expose these concepts overall. One thing that is overlooked is adults utilizing this

completely since common techniques in adults use like the Behavior Contract theory are seen in

counseling sessions varying case to case. In the demographics and history base on the Introduction

of Olyani and her other fellow researchers in this topic (Olyani et. al., 2021) child labor is solely

struggle due to the underdevelopment of one country just to survive another day. It is best to

considered adults in this study because similarly, as Glen state where one’s past defines the present

self, this is a perfect example for them to hugely determine the root cause of this child labor for

every situation begins with an adult teaching children the definition called life itself. This brings
to a coherence to the last paper as a great example of utilizing this as a concrete valid and real

paper.

Finally, Self-Talk and Thought Stopping Group Counseling Effectiveness To Reduce

Academic Anxiety In Students With The Broken Home Family, concretely exposes a great example

of utilizing the samples in need of the said issue of one phenomena. The timely of the stress of

COVID-19 adding up hopelessness, depression and anxiety are the common major factors of the

pandemic at the moment. As a result, this paper hugely guides readers especially educators and

counselors in aiding this kind of situation in promoting Mental Health care activities for the youth

especially here in the Philippines.

In conclusion, samples, respondents or test subjects are the heart of humanistic

involvement researches. This addresses issues and problems that are overlooked by proponents.

The resolution of a said problem lies within the researches proper formulation and perfect people

with Ethical Considerations and validity on their specific areas. One things for sure, before

conducting researches, essentials and needs assessment are highly recommended before

formulating researches, familiarity of the said issues are required to be determined and not just

create papers for the sake of making papers. Likewise, for theory base papers like composing

philosophical ideas as per critic’s bonus for test results, a good quality of book evidences (by which

humanistic researches can also imply) and experimentation and exposition with high intellectual

output are highly fundamental for a successful paper to be both reliable and validated to be fully

acknowledged by proponents and experts on the field per se.
