ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The researchers would like to express their heartfelt thanks and

appreciation to the following persons for their aid, collaboration, encouragement,

and direction in the development and completion of this work.

Engr. Julius Castro, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture

and their research instructor, for his essential remarks, technical ideas and

encouragement.

To our research adviser, Engr. Deanne Cameren P. Evangelista for her

skills and understanding in this project. The researchers would like to convey

their profound gratitude and appreciation to her for making time for them despite

her busy schedule when they required assistance with research-related

concerns.

To Engr. Roselle P. Cimagala for her unwavering support and assistance

to the researchers throughout the project's execution, as well as for supporting

the researchers in formulating the concept of our study. To Engr. Edgar Uy, Engr.

Edward Anuta, and Engr. Christian Lloyd Salon for sharing their insights and

making comments and recommendations that opened the route for the study's

progress.

To Mrs. Bernarda Villarojo for her patience and expertise in grammatical

constructions of manuscripts.
We would like to thank the Ortiz family for welcoming us into their house

and letting us utilize their internet for the Thesis Final defense. For lending their

pig and pig pen for conducting our research, we are grateful to Magno family and

Mrs. Belly. We would want to express our gratitude to all of our friends and family

who have contributed in any form, whether it be financially, emotionally, morally,

or physically.

To their parents, Mr. Arturo Gulay and Mrs. Eden B. Gulay, Bernadeth B.

Gulay's parents, to Mr. Celso M. Galardio, Sr. and Mrs. Beda T. Galarido, Carla

Brigide T. Galarido's parents. And Mr. Gilbert L. Gromontil and Mrs. Erlinda T.

Gromontil, the parents of Gea Marie T. Gromontil, who never failed to encourage

in times of struggles and difficulties. They inspire the researchers with their

steadfast love and support on all fronts—financially, emotionally, and spiritually—

and they continually give us reasons to celebrate God's bounty.

To everyone whose name may not appear here but who has contributed in

any manner to the successful completion of this study.

The source of blessings, love, strength, and wisdom that enabled this

study to be successful is ALMIGHTY FATHER, who deserves thanks above all

else for his protection, blessings, and knowledge.

Words cannot adequately explain how important your contributions are to

the researchers. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

ABSTRACT

The main objective of the researchers is to develop and build a "PIG SKIN

DISEASES RECOGNITION SYSTEM THROUGH MACHINE LEARNING WITH

THERMAL SENSOR" that incorporates feature extraction and matching using

convolutional neural network (CNN), independently in the image processing of

the standard image recognition system and to assist swine farmers by reducing

the spread of livestock-related diseases through early detection of the presence

of skin diseases. The suggested system demonstrated 100% accuracy in both

temperatures reading and recognition of different pig skin diseases conditions:

swine pox, skin lesion and normal skin. The develop system is a paradigm for

deep learning-based picture recognition.
