ABSTRACT

The dynamic weather in the Philippines causes inconvenience in performing

tasks, including the sun-drying and retrieval of laundry during unexpected rain.
The main purpose of this study was to construct a clothes hanger that
automatically retrieves the clothes in the presence of rain, high humidity in the
area, and when the drying time is over; and exposes it when there is enough
sunlight. The researchers used experimental approach and conducted the
construction of the product at Guiwanon, Baclayon, Bohol in the school year
2022-2023. The researchers utilized observation guides and performed a
minimum of fifteen (15) trials to determine the performance of the system. The
observation guides showed that: the weather sensors were 100% accurate in
detecting the weather status which resulted to an instantaneous reaction time;
the drying time calculation was 100% accurate; and the speed in retrieving the
clothes was of high performance with respect to the voltage reading of the rain
sensor. The researchers recommend a development of a mobile application
and/or a GSM module to easily monitor the system's status, a signal light that
indicates completion of the drying time, and adding a feature that enables user to
choose a mode depending on the type of clothes.
