About Sundar pichai

Pichai is currently the CEO of Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, as
well as a member of the Alphabet Board of Directors. Prior to this role, he was
the CEO of Google, a position he has held since 2015.

Pichai is known for his strong leadership skills and his ability to create a positive
work culture. He has a reputation for being approachable and open to new ideas,
and he is known for his ability to delegate responsibilities effectively.

One of Pichai's major accomplishments as CEO of Google has been his focus on

Career

Sundar Pichai received a scholarship to attend Stanford University in the USA to


study materials science and semiconductor physics after completing his B.Tech
in Metallurgical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. In Silicon Valley, California, he
began his career as an engineer and product manager at Applied Materials, a
manufacturer of semiconductors. After earning his MBA from Wharton in 2002,
Sundar began working as a consultant for McKinsey & Company. He eventually
joined Google in 2004.

He was in charge of Google Drive and was in charge of the development of


additional applications like Gmail and Google Maps. Additionally, he was in
charge of overseeing the innovation and product management processes for a
number of Google's client software products.

Sundar Pichai convinced Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin to
introduce the browser. Sundar was a major contributor to Google Chrome's 2008
release. God bless those who help themselves, and Google Chrome has helped
Sundar Pichai achieve incredible success. Chrome has surpassed rivals like
Firefox and Internet Explorer in the global browser rankings.

Sundar Pichai achieved global fame following the phenomenal success of Google
Chrome. After an 11-year hiatus, he was finally selected to become Google's next
CEO on August 10, 2015.

Pichai was awarded 273,328 shares of Google's holding company Alphabet in
Feb.2016. Finally, on December 3, 2019, he became the CEO of Alphabet Inc.

The Motivational Story of Sundar Pichai
