I. INTRODUCTION
A facility called Metro Federal Steel Corporation manufactures high-quality
roofing materials. The company's first branch in Tarlac was opened in San
Antonio, Gerona, in the year 2018.
Even though MFSC has only launched their firm, they have already drawn a
sizable consumer base, and this is because of the attractiveness and high caliber
of the product that they created.
Among the essential building supplies are roofing materials. Along with its
primary use, roofing materials are also used for their supposed safety,
attractiveness, lightness, and durability.
The Metro Federal Steel Corporation was first established because there are no
manufacturing companies of roofing materials in Gerona. The company was
made because the providers knew it would be the first establishments made for
roofing materials in Gerona and it would then be able to provide to many
consumers.
Vision
To provide the best quality services that meet the expectation of the
customer/clients.
Mission
To be one of the most trusted manufacturing companies of roofing materials in
the industry.
II. PROCESS
FACILITY LAYOUT
Their factory facility layout, may contain the area of five machine of C purlins,
one for carrying and metal furring, it has also the area for the long span rib type,
spandrel and other product that they provide and has also space for the trucks that
they used for the delivery and up and down office for the boss and office staff.
Transformation (raw material – finish product)
Manufacturing is the process of transforming raw materials into ready goods,
with the help of machinery. As we conduct the interview in MFSC (Metro
Federal Steel Corporation), they accommodated us to see how their machinery
works same as they labor. As they accompanied/tour us inside their
manufacturing area, where they transforming their raw materials into their
finished product (roof). As they explain the procedure, the color coated steel coil
and coils are the basic manufacturing material they use in achieving their final
products such as tiles span, rib type 2, rib type, corrugated, corrugated alluzinc,
and many more. Transforming their basic raw material into their finished product
isn’t easy they need thorough work so that they can achieve the target design that
the customer wants. Extreme care is also needed in their work.
REFLECTION
We learned how MFSC was able to start from raw materials such as colored coil
and steel coil into a final product. The final product produced would be Rib
Type, Corrugated, Spandrel, Plain sheet, C. Durlins, Metal Furring and Carrying
Channels. Speaking with experts face-to-face, seeing the materials and activities
that go into the production process, and having witnessed the final quality checks
not only gives us a detailed understanding of the specific product. The innovative
manufacturing processes we had witnessed also encourages us to think about our
own working methods.
MFSC manufactures long-lasting roofs. High-quality roofs can be purchased at a
low cost. One of the most important considerations when planning a new roof is
how long it will last. Their roof is of superior quality. The MFSC roof has five
high-quality roof characteristics. First and foremost, it has an appealing
appearance and design. MFCS roofing materials are available in a wide range of
designs, textures, and colors, which can significantly improve the appearance and
curb appeal of your home.
The second characteristic is durability and longevity. Their roofs are made of
durable roofing materials that can withstand high winds, resist UV rays and fire,
and prevent leaks and pooling by diverting water away from the house. Third, it
is energy and cost efficiency. MFSC’s roofs are made of energy efficient--
materials that can prevent air leaks and compromise a home’s internal
temperature.
They manage to maintain the cleanliness of their working area/place. All of their
manufacturing equipment (such as machinery), same as their final products are
well organized, everything has their own area.
