Sources of Values

Value is a foundation for one's own philosophy that directs and shapes how people
react and respond to various circumstances. It is well acknowledged that values are
inherited and genetically determined. However, some of them are influenced by
environmental factors, such as the family, society, individual factors, culture, religion, life
events, role expectations, and constitution. All of those sources of values are important
since they all have an impact on how we individually view life and they helped shape
who we are and how we live. Without those sources, it's possible that we wouldn't be
aware of our priorities, purposes, or goals.

As for me, one's family is the main and most important source for acquiring values.
Every child learns some values from their family while they are young and keeps those
values with them throughout their lives. His parents' nurturing, instruction, and
upbringing of him have a profound impact on his personality and morality. Following the
family, society is a significant role in the formation of a person's values. Every child
receives instruction in basic manners and self-control in school. In addition to schools
and universities, a person's values is influenced by the social organizations to which
they belong, including their political, religious, and economic affiliations. Personality
factors, such as intelligence, talent, beauty, and level of education, have the impact on a
person's value system after society. Someone who is intelligent and educated, for
example, will comprehend and pick up work- and social-related values more rapidly
than someone who is less educated. Furthermore, socially desirable and accepted
customs, beliefs, and other behavioral patterns are examples of cultural factors that
have an impact on a person's values. These beliefs are usually held in rituals, practices,
or narratives that are regularly repeated and particularly resistant to change since they
are seen as being infallible. Additionally, the beliefs and customs that make up a
person's religion have an impact on their daily actions and decision-making. With the
use of religious values, people can judge anything as good or harmful. Another source
of values related to a particular position or role profile is role demand. Each person
plays a number of different roles throughout their lives. The problem is brought on by a
conflict of roles. People quickly adopt the organization's value system in such
circumstances in order to survive and grow within it. Lastly, constitution is another
source of values in which democracy, equality, and world peace are values that are
emphasized in nearly all of the current constitutions of different nations.

Consequently, over the course of our lives, each and every one of us has acquired
a special set of values, attitudes, and beliefs. How we feel about ourselves and how we
perceive the world is influenced by our relationships with our family, friends, neighbors,
and other people as well as by our experiences and other sources of values. These
sources of moral values greatly affect our personalities and cultural behaviors, which
significantly affects how we live. Our families, friends, schools, workplaces, places of
religion, society, and the media all have a big impact on how we form our own values.
These sources also help us build the values required for us to comprehend our role and
purpose in the world and enable us to achieve by encouraging us to think about what is
truly important to us and taking the time to articulate our personal goals.
