Job Masede a olin Koss 004 [18.07.2022 Page 2 of 191 Introduction ‘This bus production quality inspection and testing protocol is a tool developed with reference to the governing national and intemational standards and regulations to aid in the production of safe and quality diesel city buses that meets all customer and regulatory requirements The tool provides guidelines on how to conduct quality inspections and tests on various diesel city bus systems and parts. Principally, the fool focuses on ten (10) major system tests and inspections namely: driver cabin systems, interior systems, underbody systems, powertrain. system, chassis system. fabrication works, underbody systems. Lastly, guidelines on condueting key vehicle dynamic and static tests and inspections have been also availed. The vehicle MU T pass all highlighted test and inspection criteria so as to meet the requirements for license and registration as stipulated in the Traffic and Road Safety (motor vehicle inspection) Regulation, 2016, as well as the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) act, Ifthe vehicle meets the stipulated criteria, then the inspector appends a tick symbol under the (P) column adjacent to the criteria in question to confirm it as a PASS, however if the vehicle does not meet the set criteria, then the instructor appends a tick symbol under the (F) column adjacent quali criteria under inspection to register a FAILURE. 2 Applicable Standards and Regulations |.
