XGD 435 BUS SEAL PLATES INSTALLATION QUALITY INSPECTION

1. Have all seal plates been installed and to the right locations?
2. Was bonding silicon adhesive applied prior to attachment of each seal plate?
3. Have all the seal plates securely welded unto the frame or chassis ?
4. Is there any panel wobble along the length of any of the seal plates? Refer to quality defects section
5. Do any of the seal plates have bends?
6. Do any of the seal plates have open/unfilled/unprotected drill holes?
7. Do any of the seal plates have sharp edges?
8. Are all weld beads smoothened and un exposed? Refer to quality defects section
9. Are all weld beads covered with protective paint?
10. Are all panel cut-outs dimensionally consistent (curves, straight lines)?
11. Does any of the seal plates have wrinkles?
12. Does any of the seal plates have elevations and bulges?
13. Does any of the seal plates have dents?
14. Does any of the seal plates have folds?
15. Does any seal plate have hole patterns?
16. Are all body seal plates dimensionally consistent with the respective spaces?
17. Does any of the seal plates have cracks?
18. Does any seal plate have loose and exposed welds?
19. Does any seal plate have rust or traces of surface corrosion?

Quality Inspector’s Comments
1. Silicon hadn’t been adequately applied and shared with team leader and I was informed people supposed to apply silicon
were busy with floor boards installation on XGD 434 bus.
2. Showed team leader the sharp welds along the rear steps and he instructed his team to grind off them immediately.
3. All welds along seal plates have to be painted to prevent corrosion.
