Quality Inspector’s Comments

1. The steering column rubber base is still missing screws upto now. Team leader was informed.
2. Steering pump and suction pipes that were initially not installed have been fitted.
3. There is completely no fluid in the steering tank. This needs to be topped up as soon as the pump and suction pipes have
been installed.
4. The bolt/nut on pitman or rocker arm wasn’t torqued to the required torque. The vehicle must be taken be taken to
inspection pit after interior works so that torqueing is done sufficiently.
5. The two hydraulic pipes (black and red) that had not been clamped within the region between the rear air tanks upto the
Engine assembly were tightly clamped on informing team leader.
Quality Control Guidelines:

1. Lock the locking bolts at both ends of the tie rod, and the locking torque is 90-108Nm
2. Steering gear and column connection tightening torque range 700±35Nm
3. Steering gear mounting plate Tightening torque range: 10.9 grade M20*1.5 (40mm) torque: 520±52Nm
4. Steering box bolt tightening torque: M18*2.0 (Class 10.9): 440±20Nm and M20*1.5 (Class 10.9): 520±27Nm
5. Steering colum fastener toque specification: M10 (grade 8.8) torque: 50-70Nm, take a fixed value of 65Nm; M10 (grade
10.9) torque: 70-90Nm, take a fixed value of 80Nm
6. Steering high and low pressure oil pipe assembly tightening torque: 80-90N.m, take a fixed value of 85Nm
7. Steering drag link tightening torque: M14*1.5 (Class 10.9): 89-109Nm, fixed value: 99Nm, M12*1.5 (Class 10.9): 70-
90Nm, fixed value: 80Nm
