XGD 434 BUS PNEUMATIC SYSTEM INSTALLATION QUALITY INSPECTION
NO. INSPECTION FACTOR YES NO N/A INSPECTOR’S COMMENT
Have all parts been assembled (footbrake valve, handbrake valve,
distributor valve, air dryer, handbrake cylinder, front brake cylinders,
1.
rear brake cylinders, auxiliary cylinders, foot brake pedal, hand brake
pedals, pneumatic lines, etc.)
Does each set of cylinder have the pressure sensor and are these
2.
sensors connected up to the chassis harness?
3. Are all the cylinders horizontally aligned and without any damage?
Is any of the system parts damaged (L-connectors, pressure pipes, nuts,
4.
tanks, valves, connectors, etc.)?
Are all L-connectors and tightening nuts available and securely fastened
5.
onto respective assemblies?
Is there any sign of corrosion/ rust on any of the connectors, valves and
6.
tanks?
For the air cylinders that are in pair (front, rear, auxiliary), does the

fastened?
Is the Engine air compressor to the air-dryer copper pipe connection Pipe connection up to air compressor

brake valves exist and are firm?
Does the system have any compressed air leakages? Leakage test done though with

and neatly trimmed?
QUALITY DEFECT RECORD AND DEFECT LOCATION
Quality Inspector’s Comments
1. Pressure pipes connections that were initially not completed due to missing connectors and bushings were fitted.
2. The pressure/ leakage test was conducted though with a smaller compressor of 200L which wasn’t sufficient to fill all the air tanks in
order to engage footbrake pedal and handbrake during the test . the leakage was identified at copper coil pipe and this was rectified.
3. The un-trimmed cable ties detected during the inspection were immediately trimmed on imforming the team leader.
4. The initially missing bolt and drain valve on the regenerative tank was fitted.
5. Of all quality concerns noted below, only copper pipe connection is not yet fitted onto the Engine air compressor due to missing
connectors and rest were rectified.
