Objectives:
 Compare the angle of reflection and the angle of incidence.
 State one of the laws of reflection.

 1 low–frequency laser/laser pen/laser pointer
 1 paper protractor (see Appendix A)

Q3. How does the angle of incidence compare with the angle of reflection?

- The angle of the incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.

Q4. A periscope is an instrument for observation over, around, or through an


obstacle. Explain how light travels in a periscope. Diagram the light rays as these
pass through the periscope.
- When light enters the periscope, it is reflected by a mirror at an equal angle
before being reflected once more by another mirror at an equal angle.
