ANGLE OF INCIDENCE
VS
ANGLE OF
REFLECTION
OBJECTIVES:

• Compare the angle of reflection and the angle of incidence.


• State one of the laws of reflection.
MATERIALS:

• 1 plane mirror
• 1 low frequency
(laser/laser pen/ laser
pointer)
• paper
PROCEDURE:

1. Let the mirror stand vertifically along the edge of the paper proctactors
shown in Figure 4. Use the clay to support the plane mirror.
2. Position laser beam such that it hits the mirror at an angle of 10° with
the normal line.
3. Make three and get the average.
4. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for angles 20°, 30°, 40° and 50° Enter all your
measurements in Table 3.
