We are here today to fight that there should be mandatory ROTC in Sr.High School.

With the manda-
tory Rotc in the Philippines again, there are many benefits that a student will get in it, such as
free tuition fees, scholarships and other things that can help a student's college life in the fu-
ture. Also according to the AFP (Arm Forces of the Philippines) they will not only teach how to
hold a gun, they will also teach self defense survival swimming, jungle survival etc... Therefore,
technical thinking about being in office or managing a country. And also according to the Article
to section for 1987 Constitution who agreed with the former Senator Attorney Joey Delena that
The Government may call upon the people to defend the State and, in the fulfillment thereof, all
citizens may be required, under conditions provided by law, to render personal military or civil
service.
I will just go back to the other day when Ms. Kim Cherose mentioned the case of a student of
Santo Tomas was murdered after he exposed alleged corruption in the
program(Mark Wellson Chua). President Duterte promised his late Suna that the events of that time will not happen
again and the AFP said that they will be stricter with the rules. Sampu-Sampu Filipinos do not know how to defend
themselves. How can we defend ourselves, family and the country itself? As youth, the hope of the people, we will be
the leaders in the future, and the defense of our country against unexpected enemies must begin with us. As said
ROTC Graduate General Rondel " may not make you into a soldier overnight but it builds the character in you that
you wanted to become a leader this nation

So in summary, yes, I think the ROTC should be made mandatory again

and better than its current form. I really think the government should con-
sider conscription instead. It can atleast help the poor get a stable job and
really, being a soldier does not need education, only survival skills and
common sense

Yes, I believe making it mandatory will be beneficial for the country. As of

this moment, majority of schools or colleges offer National Service Training
Programs (NSTP) courses as electives. Students have the option to
choose Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) or Reserve Officers'
Training Corps (ROTC). Let’s all admit that joining the ROTC can be a bit
intimidating for most people, therefore, they opt to list for the (subjectively)
easier option.

The obvious benefit we can get from mandating ROTC is, of course, addi-
tional military forces. Other than that, military training can cover survival
trainings, first-aid, physical activities as well as mental/emotional resilience
training (for when a person is under pressure). All in all, I also think some
military training can help with the general discipline that most people in the
Philippines lack.

Are you in favor of the Mandatory ROTC for Se-

nior Highschool?

What is ROTC even stands for? It stand as Reserve Officers Training Corps. Do ROTC
benifits us? Yes, because all the people who will join that will give them a lot of advan-
tages like how to be well trained and learn to be a disciplined people and always being
in the right time and work like a military like. So far i am in favor of the mandatory of
ROTC for senior highschool. And it also benifits the people who wanted to be a Military
or a Marine. ROTC is the most demanding and successful Leadership Program in the
country. The training a student receives in Army ROTC teaches leadership develop-
ment, military skills and career training. Courses take place both in the classroom and in
the field and are mixed with normal academic studies. Additional summer programs,
such as Jump School, may also be attended. Upon completion, an Army ROTC gradu-
ate is awarded officer status in the Army.
