MINDED AND DISCIPLINES
It includes and
acknowledges opposing
views.
Includes variety of credible
sources.
3. THE WRITERS ASSUMES
A RATIONAL READER
The reader will look for gaps and
the writers anticipates it.
The writer assumes the reader is
willing to be persuaded, therefore,
offers a clear line of reasoning.

BASED ON FACTS
FACT
A fact is a piece of information
that can be strictly defined and
proven true.
Example:
1. DLSU is a university in the
Philippines.
OPINION
An opinion cannot be proven
true or false.
Example:
1. DLSU has the best
students in the world.
