Dear Parent/Carer,

Year 10 Science Examinations

I am writing to inform you that your son/ward will be taking science examinations on the below
dates:

• Tuesday 21 February – Biology and Chemistry

• Tuesday 28 February – Physics

Each exam is 30 minutes long and will cover all topics in biology, chemistry and physics that have
been taught this year. A copy of the detailed revision lists is attached to your email, which will
also be uploaded on INSIGHT to your son/ward.

The exams will take place in their period 4 science lesson, in the following locations, depending
on your son/ward’s science class:

Your son/ward will require the following equipment for the examination; none will be provided on
the day:

• Pen, Pencil, Ruler, Rubber, Calculator

The results of this examination will be used to determine any Year 10 GCSE set movements, so
it is essential that your son/ward spends time at home revising in preparation.
