TEACHING AND COACHING EXPERIENCE

Dublin City Schools
Eighth Grade American History, Sells Middle School, 2000-Present
• I teach, coach and advise students of all backgrounds, cultures and special needs. I was
hired by Dublin just after graduating from Capital University. I spent many of my years
advising the Administration as one of nine Team Leaders in the building. I plan, organize
and make decisions for the entire eight grade, specifically the annual trip to D.C.
• I have served on countless committees at the building and District level.
• I have proudly coordinated school and community-wide projects that have brought
strength and unity to the Dublin Schools and Community.

• I am the Head Cheer Coach at New Albany High School. I have worked closely with the
other Coaches to facilitate safe practices, effective utilization of talent, encouragement of
school spirit and unity, community involvement, and increased participation at the high
school, middle school, and youth programs. I communicate effectively with parents using
a variety of media and I am flexible yet firm in my coaching philosophies.

Long-Term Substitute and Summer School Teacher
• I coached the middle school and high school cheer programs. As a college Senior, Bexley
Middle School asked Capital University to allow me to finish my Spring Semester as an
independent study so they could hire me as a Long-term substitute teacher for the final
nine weeks of school. I was hired to teach the 7/8 grade PACE Social Studies program
(gifted program). The following summer, I was hired to teach the American Government/
Economics Summer School course at Bexley High School

MENTOR TEACHER EXPERIENCES

Cooperating teacher 2019, 2018, 2015, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2008, 2006, 2005
• I have mentored graduate students of The Ohio State University, Ashland University, Ohio
Dominican University and an undergraduate student from Otterbein University.
• I have instructed future teachers on the fundamentals of the classroom and monitored
their teaching process while evaluating, critiquing and editing their material and
strategies. Ohio State University asked me to be a field professor for their program but I
had already committed myself to coaching during the fall and the schedules conflicted, so
I was unable to accept the position.
